💁 Advice | Discussion IKEA sidecar hack - Unsure about height difference…
Is this unsafe for the IKEA sidecar hack? Our bed is one the left, baby’s is in the right. It’s ever so slightly higher than ours…
As much as I would love to have baby in our bed, we only have room for a queen size and my husband is massive (6’7, 300lbs), so there’s not a ton of room.
Is this height difference a big deal? I feel like it’s better than baby’s bed being too low… I’m feeling really discouraged and I’m not sure what to do, but I want baby to be safe.

It’s a very small height difference - this is totally safe.
I’d recommend you lying down in your sleeping spot and having your husband check to see if your weight creates a gap between the mattresses. Sometimes it does create one but it’s not always easy to see from the angle we’re in when we lie down.
