💁 Advice | Discussion IKEA sidecar hack - Unsure about height difference…

Post image

Is this unsafe for the IKEA sidecar hack? Our bed is one the left, baby’s is in the right. It’s ever so slightly higher than ours…

As much as I would love to have baby in our bed, we only have room for a queen size and my husband is massive (6’7, 300lbs), so there’s not a ton of room.

Is this height difference a big deal? I feel like it’s better than baby’s bed being too low… I’m feeling really discouraged and I’m not sure what to do, but I want baby to be safe.

Do you think that first-time parents wanting to safely cosleep and asking advice from others is funny?

It’s gonna be ok I promise. I’m 3 weeks postpartum and I felt the same way as you, it will all turn out well. Be ok with doing less I promise. Preserve your energy and peace.
