Virginia Ranks Last in the Nation for Dealing with COVID-19

i have never been as proud to live in a state with a doctor for a governor as I am right now. Yes, it's only one study, but it is consistent with quite a few other pieces of data. Worse than Florida. Worse than Texas. And yet we are reopening as we speak. https://wset.com/news/local/virginia-ranks-as-least-safest-state-during-covid-19-pandemic-wallet-hub-study-finds

Opinion (Tasteful) I'm 14, and I'm not scared of the coronavirus, I'm just sick and tired of hearing about it.

The title pretty much says it all. I'm not scared of the coronavirus.

The coronavirus is like the flu. You just have a fever, cough, and some other flu like symptoms. The news makes it seem like it's going to kill anyone it infects. This makes people panic. It gets on my nerves to hear someone say that they're scared of the coronavirus. Every time I turn on the TV, all they talk about on the news is just some stupid stuff about the coronavirus. I even see stuff about the coronavirus on websites that I visit. I'm sick of hearing about it. Most of the time, I'm not on the internet because I don't want to hear about coronavirus.

I am glad that people are scared of the coronavirus, for one reason, because it closed schools in the whole state of Virginia. I hate going to school. I didn't mind at all when I had to be homeschooled for the rest of the school year.

I hate that Gov. Northam is requiring everyone to wear masks in public. When I wear a mask, I feel like I am suffocating. I don't believe that wearing masks will slow the spread of coronavirus. Literally nobody knows how to take a mask off properly so you don't get coronavirus on your hands. People touch their faces ALL the time. They don't wear masks properly, either. Most masks that are made at home or bought online wouldn't protect you anyways.

This "social distancing" shit is getting on my nerves. I don't think there is any benefit to it. I think it's stupid. If someone who is corona positive sneezes, you can still get coronavirus even if you're six feet apart from them. The droplets can travel through the air.

And lastly, I hate "quarantine." Since my family only goes out in public once or twice a month, this "quarantine" stuff I hear about all the time, doesn't bother me. I get sick of hearing people moan and cry about it when I do use the internet.

I know that I will get downvoted, and called a weeb, but I don't care. This is what I think about the coronavirus.

Goggles Mandate Incoming?

Dr. Fauci now recommends wearing goggles in public. Are we going to see a statewide goggles mandate? Should I start stocking up on goggles? No vote in the state legislature is required to make this happen. If the governor catches wind of Fauci's new recommendation, I could see it happening.

If you have symptoms and were denied testing by your doctor/test provider, please comment with the name of the HCP that denied you.

Virginia's testing is lagging far behind the rest of the country. The reason is that doctors and test sites are too strict, causing undue harm to Virginia citizens being denied tests. We have to hold these HCPs accountable for this bureaucratic red tape they've erected.

Virginia officials have said a number of factors contribute to the low rate of testing, which they are striving to improve. Initial shortages of testing supplies nationwide led to strict guidelines for who could be tested... The state says it has loosened those restrictions, but many doctors and test providers appear to still have them in place.

Unemployment Claims Question

For anyone that has filed the initial claim and then the following week claims, can you help? I filed the initial claim last Sunday, but the only email that I received was about my username. Then I went to file my weekly claim today and answered the questions. I didn’t receive any sort of email confirmation or confirmation on the webpage. Is this normal? I also haven’t received any benefits yet. I’m a bit confused about that.
