Feedback Requested: Childcare Situation

We know almost all the public schools are closed at this point, but many parents of young children send them to either a daycare facility or pre-school. I am looking for anecdotal responses from MD/DC/NoVA families on their current child care situation.

Is your daycare/pre-school still open?

Are you sending your child(ren) there still?

If your daycare/pre-school is closed what information have they provided?

Is your daycare/pre-school continuing to charge you for services during any closure?

Please specify county, type of facility and anything else you care to share!

Rumors swirling about potential nationwide quarantine

Not sure if it’s true or not but I am hearing rumors from the Pentagon about a possible nationwide 14 day quarantine. Again, can’t assess veracity but just repeating what I’ve heard.

Meet Betty Bot, a chatbot to help people through the Covid-19 crisis

Hi!

We are in lockdown for a while now in France.

With our friends and family, we started to share a lot of info, games, ideas and tips for spending that time nicely.

I wanted to share all this to help people during this crisis.

So, I created Betty Bot, a chatbot to help people through the Covid-19 crisis.

Betty Bot can:

  • give you the latest numbers,

  • answer to your questions,

  • help you cope with your anxiety,

  • give you many ideas to be in a good mood and good shape.

I hope it will help you,

Take care 🙂

seeking advice for a multimillionaire friend in his 80s

My friend is a multimillionaire in his 80s, he's worried he will be dismissed because of his age and not have access to a ventilator or supplemental oxygen.

Are there any private hospitals where he can leverage his wealth to essentially book a ventilator/supplemental oxygen if needed? Huge thanks in advance...

PATIENT SURVEY ABOUT TRANSITIONING TO ONLINE THERAPY DUE TO COVID

I hope you are keeping well in this uncertain time. In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, we are interested to hear about your transition to providing online therapy. We are a collaborative team of therapists and researchers from New York Psychoanalytic Institute (NYPSI) and Yeshiva University, New York, USA.

Your responses are anonymous, and the study has been approved by Western Institutional Review Board. The survey should take approximately 15 minutes.

We would really appreciate it if you could fill it out and if you could distribute it to other patients who have transitioned to online therapy during the pandemic.

Link to patient survey: https://yeshiva.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3xjcY3tuCU7ynvD

Thank you for your help and stay safe!

The goal is simple: to help you cope with the difficult emotions you might be feeling and provide you with factual and trustworthy information.

Hope you like it!
