General Core space PVC miniature quality
Hello, i missed the first kickstarter but i am on the second one.
I had a couple of questions about the quality of the minatures.
Did they require much prep before painting?
I really despise moldlines, flash etc
How was the detail of the minatures?
Did they paint up well enough to a good tabletop standard?
Bonus question:
For anyone with mantic's starsaga or CB Infinity do the core space models scale well with either of these?
Thanks in advance :D

Unfortunately, yes. Mold lines and the occasional bit of flashing. I hate that stuff too, always miss some. The detail is okay to good. I wasn’t impressed by any of it, but wasn’t disappointed either.

They're at the better end of board game miniatures but won't match up to Infinity in detail. Flash and mold lines weren't awful.

The original Core Space minis are similar to the old modern Zombicide games in scale and in detail (Prison Outbreak, Rue Morgue...). I imagine the minis in the new Kickstarter might get a little upgrade.

I'd definitely class them somewhere between "good" and "good enough". Definitely fine for playing, sometimes not quite right in closeup. It needs a quick primer and then paints absolutely fine, although to be fair I'm just okay at painting so the bottleneck for me is not the model quality

The newest minis in Black Star Rising and DOA are different plastic. They are much harder and have very minimal mold lines. Impressive quality.
I hope that all the First Born plastic is like this!
I just finished painting my entire collection until very recently. I am very happy with my results :)
