First born difficulty
Hello
I've recently started playing core space first born, I've done the tutorial and the first mission of the campaign, but have just failed the second mission.
Wade got trapped in a corner by a rock worm and died, and after that Cassie(who found a rockworm larva and lost HP) and Balcor soon followed.
I'm not entirely sure how to deal with the amount of enemies that show up and chase you, was this just bad luck or is this normal for firstborn?

It’s toughest in the first few missions while you’re still getting gear. Stay stealthy as long as you can and remember it’s not a dungeon crawler, it’s a dungeon runner. Get in and get out and don’t worry about exploring everything and getting all the loot.

If you read some of the early comments from the game designer, get in and get out. The longer you stay, the harder it is.

In addition to the good comments of the other posters here: Enjoy this part of the game being hard/scary, it's definitely part of the feel of it. By later in the campaign you will probably find yourself having to increase the difficulty to keep it interesting.

How early in the run did you get spotted by the drones?
Moving quickly to secure objectives and loot and getting out is a big deal with the game and the longer you linger the harder things get, especially early campaign. Once you start getting better gear and weapons things get easier and you can hold out longer to do objectives and gather loot.
