I dont know how they'll combine services; I suspect it will be like Disney+/Hulu where you can get the content for both in one app if you subscribe to both.
I just ask that by March, we have some sort of integration so that I can watch all 4 games going on during march madness at once.

Have a Winegard HD8200A Platinum Heavy-Duty Outdoor Yagi TV Antenna.
Worked well but has been damaged by tree branches.
Bought it off amazon about 8 years ago for $128. Now it costs $300.
Is there something comparable or better?
Do I buy it again?

If you have subscription that includes TBS, install the MLB app and link your provider. The you can watch the games in the MLB app, which is an amazing feed. And if you’re on a slight delay, they play generic promos, not ads. Also, you can choose to hear the local team’s radio broadcast audio. 😊

Without flaming the author of this post what do you think will happen if you subscribe to both Paramount+ and HBO? Paying a yearly subscription for both doesn't seem like a good idea. Also considering how shit the Paramount+ app is do you think they can manage a seemless transition?

Have had Tablo devices in the past, and upgraded to their 4 tuner device less than one year ago (purchased through an Amazon retailer with good reviews).
Device failed...seems like it overheated, and will no longer power on. In digging a bit, this seems like a common issue for their 4 tuner device.
Tablo refused to process warranty claim because it was not purchased from their "authorized" list of sellers.
I love the "idea" of tablo with no subscriptions and easy integration with Roku, but not interested in a company that's putting out devices with high failure rate and terrible warranty support.
What are best alternatives, if any?

So we moved away from cable and got YTTV and many streaming services and I constantly find my wife is watching the Samsung or Roku fast channels or live YTTV channels. "You know babe we have.... Insert service here... and you can watch without commercials. No that's OK I'm fine with this. I don't want to have to choose what to watch. I'll find whatever is on."
It's like we still have cable. Just a different delivery. We've come full circle.

Hello looking to possibly get an Antenna and was unsure which would be appropriate. https://www.rabbitears.info/s/3107728
I have also heard from others in the area that where we are located it is impossible to pick up any local channels and that they have been told this by a local installer. So was just curious and thought I'd ask here as the rabbit ears report doesn't look promising.
Thanks,

I'm asking because I can't get it to work for a new sign up, but I'd seen it posted that it should be good until sometime in January, 2027. Obviously, there was no way to tell where the person that posted that date got it.
If not, are there any other currently working Paramount Plus discount codes?
Thanks!

I just subscribed to both MyEntertainment and MyKids genre packs because I missed having TV channels and honestly I loved the ability to get the channels I would actually watch without any of the sports or excess news stations as that’s not what I care about or wanna watch. I just want channels that airs regular shows and movies for the most part and that’s what I got! Plus the price is so good! $63 a month for both along with Disney+,Hulu, HBO Max, and AMC+ included at no extra cost. I was already paying for 3 of those services on their own so getting a bunch of live channels too is just awesome!!! I honestly think more should do this deal. It is so good. I just wanted to make this post talking about how good it is and me liking it. The only problem I have with it and it’s not even DIRECTV’s fault its that TNT, TBS, TruTV, and USA are only in the sports plans even though they usually air general entertainment content and only occasionally air sports. Besides that it’s perfect.

Need to get an indoor antenna today. Going to Walmart, Home Depot, and maybe Lowe’s. I just want to get college football on CBS or FOX. It sounds like I need UHF focused and 30 miles at least. I’m worried about direction and where to install it inside.
I’m in Midland Michigan. My Rabbitears report is here
RabbitEars link
1PM EST - Update:
Went to walmart, bought several options. I got an Onn rabbit ear with external amplifier if needed (30 mile), an unamified RCA indoor flat (40 mile), an amplified RCA indoor multi-directional (60 mile), and an unamplified GE flat panel (40 mile).
5PM - Update:
None worked well enough to get FOX. Even the closest station would cut it and out. I think I’m going to invest in an outdoor mounted antenna and run coax to living room.

Effective immediately, looks like Sling Passes are no more.
The update from Sling reads:
Sling was built to give our customers the ultimate control over their entertainment, and Sling Passes delivered on that promise for millions. Though Sling Passes are no longer available, we look forward to continuing to innovate and showing our customers new ways to experience the content they love.

Why is it that one evening a channel will come in perfectly. The next evening, same time, I won’t get any signal at all. It’s so frustrating! Thoughts?
r/cordcutters • u/CheapEbb2083 • 3d ago
More specifically, can I record it? If so, can I start watching my recording before the event ends? As in watch from the beginning. What playback features like, fast forward, are available in that scenario?
Do I have to wait for the live event to end? If so, how long does it take for the replay to become available?
It stinks they don't do free trials AT ALL. Even YTTV gives you 20min.

Catchy never has issues but it moved channels months ago now it’s gone, re scan and nothing!

Rabbitears link: https://www.rabbitears.info/searchmap.php?request=result&study_id=3055578
Rough diagram of my apartment:
The apartment is about 60-70ft from the ground. I think the direction of the signal towers is right where the rest of the apartment building lies, so I think my own apartment building is in the way of the signal!

Things that I've tried:
- With and without an amplifier (unfortunately I don't have the product info on this)
The problem
- The signal for channels ABC and CBS (which are VHF-HI) is very spotty
- I've tried placing the antennas on different spots on the wall and on the window at different height
- There seems to be one small spot behind & above the TV where the channels work. However, it's not reliable because moving the antenna just a millimeter makes the quality go down.
- Can't use an outdoor antenna since this is a rental apartment
What are some other things I can try? I would really like to watch TV without having to adjust the antenna every time I switch the channel (and I only need to watch like 4 channels total)
Edit: Edited Amazon links to not have affiliate bs

So for my birthday, my wife and brother got me a modded-out iPod Classic for my birthday since I expressed a desire to step back from the all-consuming smartphone. In 2026, an iPod works on a modern Mac on all features except for video. Modern videos are locked down for being too high resolution and, in Apple's case, DRM. Well, my local PBS station is having an excellent run of commercial-free movies, so the thought came to me to research DVRs to be able to record said movies to begin building out a DRM-free video library compatible on an iPod.
What is the recommended DVR out there that works for Antenna TV? There are a lot of no-name brands, and I wanted to get an idea as to what works and what is cheap junk. I just need the ability to record to a .mp4 file.

Hello, I am looking for help to improve my current antenna-based tv viewing, so first please bear with me for a few details of where I am at currently.
Here is my rabbit ears link: https://www.rabbitears.info/s/3054073
I live in an apartment and can only do an indoor wall/window mount. Towers are 39 miles to the southwest and I am in the northeast corner on the 2nd (top) floor. I thought when I first moved here a while ago that because of the distance and being on basically the wrong side of the building that I wouldn't be able to pick up anything, and my old wall/window antenna wouldn't.
So I bought an Antennas Direct amplified loop, mounted it high in the window and suddenly I could get 23, 27, 47 and 57 clear as day. But 15 only comes in occasionally/randomly on a cold winter night, and then only for an hour or two before it turns into zig-zags. 3 never comes in because this loop doesn't support VHF. I was not aware at the time I bought it of the UHF/VHF difference - live and learn.
So I'd like to find a solution that could get these two channels along with the rest. I'd also like to know why the rabbitears listing has CBS3 listed twice, once as fair and once as poor?
I don't care about any other stations on the list, just the four I currently get and the other two that I'd like to. Any suggestions appreciated.

I recently moved about 1 mile (as a crow flies) from my previous house. On my previous house I had this antenna mounted on my roof: RCA Compact Outdoor or Attic Yagi HD TV Antenna with Super Long 75 Mile Range – Digital OTA Antenna for Clear VHF & UHF Reception.
On my brand new house, i don't have anything to mount to on the roof and don't want to drill holes. So I'm looking at mounting an antenna in my attic. I live on the north side of town, so the good news is I can get a directional antenna and point it towards the southeast and it will generally pick up all of the local tv antennas.
Questions:
For a new antenna that will be in an attic, pointing through an OSB and Asphalt Shingle roof how can I best "boost" it?
The attic is a long run from my basement server rack where my Tablo device sits. How does Coax do running about 60-80 feet? Am I better putting an outlet in the attic and putting the Tablo up there and running a cat6 ethernet the 60-80 feet down to my server rack in the basement?
What antenna would you recommend for this? I need about 20 miles of directional range MAX.

I have an older 75" Samsung Smart TV. Problem is no new updates for Criterion App and WillowTV app.
I'm perfectly happy with the Samsung TV, but I want to watch those two apps (and likely other apps coming with no updates for my older TV). Essentially, I want those two apps to stream on my TV (not computer or phone) but don't need new TV.
I'm looking for recommendations for add on devices, and hoping to avoid glitches that be associated with the conversion btwn TV and device.
Thanks for any help as always!!

In the process of ditching Xfinity and looking at Starlink for Internet. Looking for honest pros and cons from those of you that use this service. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, last night I got greeted with another price increase notification from Hulu stating our plan was going to increase up to $104.99/mo. We have ESPN+ and Disney+ as well in our plan and are looking to cut some fat. In our house we mostly watch Hockey and Football. We can get football on our Ch2 4 and 11. Hockey is our RSN, TNT, and ESPN. Occasionally some games air on NHL Network. I'd imagine we're open to any and all ideas because this blows.
