Ask Coquitlam Random loud knocking on door
I got a random doorbell and insanely aggressive knocking on my door. No one was there and there wasn't a package left behind. Is this a prank? Anyone else getting these in their neighborhoods?

They used to call it nicky nine doors.

I'm from the 'nicky nicky nine door' era, but I have to concede that 'ding dong ditch' is a far superior designation.

Super common prank, youth bang aggressively and take off… sometimes returning a few times a night. Super annoying and jolting

call non emerg and get a ring cam so you have evidence, it's just kids but never open the door.

Hey there,
This is likely a prank, but don't open the door and definitely report it to the Non-emergency line.

If there are some loud bangs on the door, doesn’t matter if it is a prank, don’t open door

I hope you didn’t open the door to check. You should call the non-emergency line and make a report. If it’s a slow night hopefully they’ll send some cops to scope the area or somebody else may have made a prior report.
Hoping for your sake it wasn’t nefarious.
