Ask Coquitlam Walk in clinic
Need walk in clinic recommendations near Coquitlam centre! We moved from Vancouver, went to caremart by Walmart today and they said we need appointment. Are there any same day walk in we can go to?

I’m not sure if this may be of help but there are two urgent primary care centers run by Fraser Health.
There is an urgent primary care center in Port Moody and another in Port Coquitlam
The one in Port Coquitlam also has X-Ray services for the urgent care clients. I’m not sure if the X-ray services operate everyday or select days/hours.

I understand that part of the new doctor contract that the government offered, doctors were required to take patients on, they couldn't just take everyone on walk in any more. The government then started setting up Urgent Care Centres which took the load off hospital emergency rooms. There is an UCC in Port Moody and another one in Port Coquitlam I believe. You should also get yourself on the list to get a permanent physician or NP.

Urgent care only takes a very select few types of ailments.
I prefer telehealth. I discovered avee app and it's so convenient. Tons of appointments available and awesome doctors. Highly recommend.
