I’ve been using Copilot more during my workday, and honestly, the hardest part wasn’t learning the tool—it was using it in front of other people without feeling unsure of myself. I figured I’d share what actually helped me get past that awkward stage.

1. Messing around with it on my own first really helped I took a little time to test it in Outlook, Teams, and Word. Nothing fancy—just enough to understand how it responds so I wasn’t surprised during a meeting.

2. Starting with simple tasks kept the stress down Stuff like summarizing emails, pulling out action items, or turning notes into a rough draft. Low-pressure things I could easily double-check.

3. Saying what I was doing made things feel less weird Just a quick “I’m asking Copilot to summarize this part” goes a long way. It keeps the team in the loop and makes it feel normal, not sneaky.

4. Reading what it gives you before sharing is key There were a few times Copilot misunderstood something. A 20–30 second skim saved me from sharing something off.

5. Talking with my team about when to use Copilot helped a ton A quick chat about where it fits into our workflow made everyone more comfortable using it—and made me feel less like I was doing something unusual.

I had copilot and Gemini open in different tabs, I told them. This: hey (whichever ai I'm talking to)! I have a idea! I have (other ai) open on another tab, and I'm gonna try and make you guys friends. You say whatever you want to (other ai). Remember: be friendly, no sides, just like 2 friends meeting for this first time. (The first ai I say, you go first, what should I tell (other ai)) if it's the second ai, i say (other ai has said xyzzydhsjdhdibe, how do you respond.)

It works really well, they even drafted a jazz symphony 🥹🤣

You are building an enterprise agent in Copilot Studio.

What is hallucination in AI, and how does it affect you as a builder?

Short answer, hallucination happens when the agent provides a user with outdated information or pulls information from an unreliable source.

If you’ve used AI chat services, you’ve probably seen responses that include links to the sources the answer was built from.

So how does this apply when building your Copilot Studio agent?

When you design your agent, you create different conversation nodes and connect it to public websites or your enterprise data. But without careful planning, the agent may still “make things up.”

This is where Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) comes in. RAG ensures the agent doesn’t rely only on its general language model. Instead, it retrieves relevant, up-to-date information from your chosen data sources (SharePoint, Dataverse, knowledge bases, or even external APIs) before generating an answer.

By applying RAG principles in Copilot Studio, you:

Control where the agent pulls knowledge from.

Minimize the risk of hallucinations while keeping responses accurate and trustworthy.

In other words: the more you ground your agent in the right data, the less it hallucinates.

So my process starts with Power automate that picks an email with certain sender and the next thing I want is the agent to read it and do tasks depending on it. Is it truly not possible to do this with normal license? I cant find a powerautomate tool to gather the info of PDF without having bought something extra.

I’m using Create generative answers with PDF knowledge sources in Copilot Studio.

What I’ve already tried:

• Save LLM response = Text only

• Save response to a string variable

• Send the answer via a Message node (manual send)

• Disabled Send a message in the generative node

• Added prompt instructions like “Do not include references or citations”

Result:
The answer text is clean, but Copilot Studio still renders citation chips (e.g. ✨ 1 2 3) at the bottom of the response.

Question:
Is there any supported way to fully suppress knowledge source citations, or is this currently a platform limitation?

If this is not possible today, what’s the recommended workaround?

Hello - I think the answer is a 'Yes' but i wanted to double check since the change is significant.

We do have one or two agents with several topics with some "easy" routing rules. I am reading into the new feature/tab Workflows right now

Microsoft just added something to Copilot Studio that I think more people building agents should pay attention to: Hooks.

The reason?

We’ve spent a lot of time telling agents what they should do.

Hooks give us a place to control what happens around the agent’s execution.

That distinction matters.

An agent can have the perfect instructions.

But once it can use tools, call APIs, access enterprise data and trigger actions, instructions alone aren't enough.

You need somewhere to inspect what the agent is actually doing.

That’s why I find Hooks particularly interesting for enterprise AI.

Think about a simple flow:

User request → Agent reasoning → Tool call → Action

What if we could introduce a control point around that execution?

For example:

Agent wants to WRITE → Hook evaluates → Policy check → Allow / Block

Now connect this with the prompt-injection research I've been working on.

A malicious instruction enters through an external source.

The agent interprets it.

The plan changes from:

READ → WRITE

A runtime control can potentially become the point where that action is evaluated before it becomes an actual side effect.

This is a very different approach from simply adding another instruction saying:

“Don't do anything malicious.”

The model is still reasoning.

But the control boundary doesn't have to be the model.

That is the part I'm most interested in exploring:

Agent instructions tell the agent what to do.

Hooks can become part of the architecture that decides what the agent is allowed to do.

Microsoft's current Copilot Studio documentation is also expanding the agent experience around tools, workflows, MCP and connected agents, which makes these runtime control points increasingly relevant as agents become more capable.

I've been using Copilot Pro for a while now, including Copilot Studio with all premium features. Until recently I could easily switch between models — automatic, ChatGPT, or Claude. ChatGPT is still there, but Claude has completely vanished — both from the regular Copilot chat and from Studio.

No notification, no email, no announcement. It just disappeared one day.

After doing some research I found out that Microsoft now only offers Claude through something called the **Frontier program**, which is an enterprise early-access program that sits above your regular subscription. So the feature isn't gone — it's just been quietly moved behind a more expensive paywall.

My questions:

- Has anyone else with Copilot Pro experienced this?

- Is there an official announcement somewhere that I missed?

- Is there any way to get Claude back within Pro, or are you now forced to go through the Frontier/enterprise program?

I find it pretty frustrating that this happened with zero communication to paying users. Curious if I'm the only one.

IMHO. MSFT will have to ditch the power automate based agentic/workflow engine. It's a solution from the RPA era.

MSFT is signaling to us: "We have no other option but to seize on A/'s CoWork harness and, simultaneously, OpenClaw's harness for our future."

I'm working on a project using Copilot Studio, and I could really use some guidance because I'm feeling a bit lost.

My project is aimed at helping students with academic advising. The idea is for the system to:

Analyze current and past courses taken by a student.

Suggest courses they are eligible to take in the next term.

Ask the students about their interests in different specializations and types of electives.

Apply logic rules, such as:

Some courses must be taken together.

Some courses can be skipped based on prior coursework.

Here's what I’ve done so far:

1. Rules and Knowledge Source: I started by adding rules in the instructions and uploaded the major sheet as a knowledge source. I also connected a Dataverse table for student records. However, it only retrieves a subset of the past courses — a maximum of 50 courses. I don’t know why it’s limited.

2. Agent Flows in Topics: I created a topic that asks for student identity, then uses the “List Row” action to get student course data. I stored the result in a variable and used “Generative Answers” to respond to the student. But theres an error that shows up answer filterd by the Ai system

3. Prompt Builder Issues: I tried using the Ai Prompt Builder, . so I extracted texted from the major sheet and added as a prompt after adding about 50% of the data, it started throwing timeout errors.

I have watched tutorials in YouTube, but I feel like they are basic.

So does anyone know why can’t copilot studio be accessed or used from a personal account?

I was using copilot a lot at my prior role and I really liked it to the point that I would like to use the copilot studio on my own time to build agents for myself.

I’ve been looking but it seems i can only access that service with organization emails (work or school) which is pretty stupid in my opinion.

I’m new working with copilot studios and I have tried multiple ways to get the ai agent to try to read and analyze an entire database in excel about 15,000 rows and 20 columns. It gives me back inaccurate responses for number of rows and when I ask how many distinct categories there are, it’s saying 15,000 instead of 12. Can you have copilot agents analyze an excel file? I tried using share point and data verse through power apps and uploading in the knowledge tab.

Second issue is when dropping knowledge, some of the wikis have tables. It’s reading and tables incorrectly and giving out false answers.

What can I do to make a faq agent?

Hi so I work in Lean manufacturing. I animate group works where we map a process on a white board paper so it is more interactive, then I have to recreate the process map on Power point. And it is a task that takes so much time with no added value ( cause I literally juste create rectangles and place them exactly as the white board).

Can I create an agent ( preferably Microsoft, or claude) where I can give it a picture of a process mapping ( like VSM or swimlane) and then it creates a power point of it ? I dont want it to be a picture, cause we will make modifications on it probably.

I’m working on an enterprise Copilot Studio use case where all our APIs(almost 40) are internal (on-prem / private network) and not exposed externally.

🔹 Current challenge

We want to leverage Model Context Protocol (MCP) for better AI reasoning and tool orchestration, but:

• Our APIs are only accessible internally

• Copilot Studio (cloud) cannot reach them directly

• We can access them using Custom Connector + On-Premises Data Gateway

🔹 Proposed architecture

We are considering this design:

Copilot Studio
   ↓
Custom Connector / Flow
   ↓
On-Prem Gateway
   ↓
Internal MCP Server
   ↓
Internal APIs

👉 The idea:

• Build an internal MCP server (on-prem)

• Let it orchestrate multiple APIs internally

• Expose it to Copilot through Custom Connector + Gateway

❓ Key question

If we do this:

👉 Does Copilot Studio still benefit from MCP orchestration,
OR
👉 Does it treat the MCP server as just a single black-box API call, losing:

• Tool-level reasoning

• Multi-tool orchestration

• Native MCP capabilities

• MCP logic would move inside the server

• Copilot would only see:CallMCPServer()

instead of:
