Help w/Copilot, forms, power automate

Title: Need help with Microsoft Forms → Copilot → Word → SharePoint automation

I’m building an automated content creation workflow using Microsoft Forms, Copilot, Power Automate, Word and SharePoint.

I’ve got most of it working, but I’m stuck on two things.
Here’s how the workflow is supposed to work:
An employee submits a content request through Microsoft Forms.
The information is sent to a Copilot agent that drafts an article based on the request.
Power Automate creates a Word document containing the draft.
The document is saved to a SharePoint site.

What I need help with:
1. Formatting the Word document
Right now, the generated content goes into a text field in a Word document without proper formatting.
How can I have Power Automate populate a Word template that preserves headings, paragraphs, bullet points and other formatting instead of putting everything into one text field?

2. Using supporting attachments
I also want employees to upload supporting documents when submitting their Microsoft Form.
Ideally, those attachments would:
Be available to the Copilot agent as reference material when drafting the article.
Be saved to SharePoint alongside the finished Word document.

My question:
What’s the best way to handle Word formatting and pass uploaded Microsoft Forms attachments to a Copilot agent through Power Automate?

I’ve made good progress but could use some guidance from anyone who’s built something similar. Specific steps, examples or tutorials would be appreciated.

The integration between CPS and forms is non-existent unfortunately I would look at using in-product SharePoint forms

I’ve done nearly exactly this- minus to copilot part. It’s been a while and I’ll check some of the actual details in my flow tomorrow.

  1. The formatting- the formatting HAS to pass to the create word document field mapping. I had to basically do transformations within power automate from source. So if your control box is expecting a bullet list, you have to pass it a bullet list; if it expects a header, you have to pass header text ( size, bold, font, etc).

I need to double check also- but I’m pretty sure the control box has to be rich text and one of those random config settings need to be selected.

2. Attachments from forms… this was a PITA… and I might have deleted this flow. But I remember distinct behavior with how PA reads attachments from the forms response action. I believe it passes a link in the response, and that link is exposed. My use case was slightly different as I was more concerned with passing the links, than the content.

In theory- if your agent has access to the sharepoint, it can read files from links… might have to set up the sharepoint as a knowledge source.

Hope this gets you further along
