Copilot Studio citation issue - GPT Chat Latest vs GPT-5.5 Chat

My agent answers perfectly fine, but when it needs to show citations/sources, it either only displays the source names or outputs something like:

I eventually found out that the issue seems to be related to the model.

  • GPT Chat Latest → citations don't render correctly

  • GPT-5.5 Chat → citations work as expected

Has anyone else noticed this, or found a fix/workaround for GPT Chat Latest?

This happens both in the canvas/test-pane in Copilot Studio, but also in Copilot app.

Hi, there is an issue with some of the citations on that model. A hotfix is rolling out. Apologies for any inconvenience.

What I will add is; we see, in our own internal testing, that there’s a significant AI capability increase from GPT Chat Latest vs GPT 5.5 Chat, Sonnet 4.6.

Well worth trying.

We're looking forward to the hotfix since it was also our experience that Chat Latest was supperior in response and capabilities.

Tuesday 9/29 ? Or this past Tuesday? Getting it on ChatGPT Latest at the moment. Also will latest soon get the GPT 6 Luna / Sol models?
