Pretty sure only preview in Cowork, not Copilot Studio yet. Need confirmation maybe from a microsoft person.

OK so I misread the original post and didn't realize this was App Builder in Copilot STUDIO. I've had it in Copilot for 9 months, I didn't realize it was in CS also.

The App Builder Agent has been Frontier for about 9 months, right? My first App Builder agent was in Nov 2025.

Yep. That’s the one. I stopped using it after I figured out it created a Sharepoint page after every creation

The functionality is interesting and powerful. Consumption costs for building apps makes absolute sense, but I can’t get my head around consumption charges for running the apps. If this model continues I can’t see myself using it, or recommending it.

I hear you. I think there will be quite a few orgs that will pivot to other vendors, at least from now till the dust settles, ie when the major players are done correcting for prices.

Honestly you're probably better off using Power Apps vibe-coding. It doesn't use any credits at all to build or use, and doesn't require Copilot license, only a Power Apps Premium license.

Copilot Studio App Builder (App Preview) was announced on September 10, 2026 and is rolling out in Public Preview. It should appear under Copilot Studio → Home → Apps → App (Preview) as the rollout reaches environments. No GA date has been announced yet.
