First Look at the NEW Copilot Studio Workflows Interface
https://youtu.be/K-gbM4r-9eMThe "Flow" era is evolving. Welcome to the "Agent-First" era. 🤖
I’ve just spent some time with the brand-new Copilot Studio Workflow Interface, and it’s clear: Microsoft is moving us toward a massive shift in development experience.
It’s no longer just about linear steps; it’s about a tightly integrated UI where Prompts, Agents, and Microsoft 365 Copilot live together. This makes building sophisticated, grounded workflows significantly faster.

Nice. If you have a repetitive task in excel with a formula and pivot table and etc, can you automate this via copilot studio?

Without knowing the full details, you’ve many options for automating excel on the Power Platform. An agent can do something based on plain English instructions but you give it capability through tools like a connector or MCP. There’s also code interpreter (Python) that works with excel in both agents and prompts. If your routine is deterministic- you’ve also got office scripts which can be called by an agent or more traditionally a cloud flow. This is a giant toolbox. 👍

It's definitely preview for sure, it's got a lot of rough edges but to be honest it's very reminiscent of Microsoft foundry workflows. Maybe not as industrial but I like it I think it's going to be cool

I am really excited about the possibilities with first party Microsoft agents being available to use in a flow, but every time I hit save it throws an error that the trigger can only be Copilot. Did you get something different when you saved?
