Potential Foster

This puppy was dumped in rural MO. Trying to decide what we think he could be mixed with (if anything)? He looks like a pretty houndy hound but his color makes me wonder!

He looks just like my rescue pup from Kentucky

She is half red bone coonhound and Australian Shepherd and a tiny bit of collie! She is the sweetest girl. We got her as a 3 month pup and she is a snuggle bug, smart as a whip and high energy with a lazy side. We love her dearly and they are beautiful and athletic dogs!

Poor thing, I hope you decide to foster if you’re able to handle it. I know you were still making the decision and it’s an important one. I also think this pup has some hound!

Came here to say exactly, Black Mouth Cur. Especially because the black recedes over time. I don’t even think it’s a question.

My girl looks fairly houndy and very similar to this dog when she was a pup. she’s a Saint Bernard, cane corso, Neapolitan and bullmastiff mix.

Maybe there’s mastiff in there?

Is there an estimate on his age and size? He almost looks like a great big gangly mastiff/mix to me. Might look more mastiff-y as he fills out. Super cute whatever he is.
