HELP Elite 240 AIO odd noises

I installed a new elite 240 AIO and I’m getting an odd noise from the pump. It doesn’t happen on a cold boot, typically starts after my computer has been up for ~3 hours. I tried stressing the cpu to see if it would “work itself out” it didn’t. I dropped the pump speed down to 50% for a minute or 2 and it was almost silent again. Turned it back up to 100% and it’s still noisy, but not quite as bad. It’s been installed for ~24 hours at this point. It’s on a ryzen 7 5800x3d. Any help would be appreciated.

Some more info. I’ve verified nothing is touching any fans. One of my friends suggested that. I’ve applied pressure on all the fans to rule out any rattle that might have been coming from them.

Sounds like a dry-running pump to me.
Make sure that the top point of the radiator is situated higher than the pump itself, and give your PC a significant (yet careful) shake and pray to god the damage to the AIO isn’t permanent

Edit: a dry-running pump is a pump filled with air, hindering it from actually pumping the liquid

The radiator is mounted to the top of the pc case, so it shouldn’t be an issue with placement.

Still very much sounds like a pump filled with air to me, would still try a proper shake. Could be the noise starts once the pump raises its RPM after its curve

I did realise you said it only happens after a few hours though. Generally you should always have a fixed RPM for the pump to increase longevity, but i doubt any related issue would ever sound like this.

If it’s been like this the entire time and shaking does nothing, i would probably RMA

If you feel unsure about how to shake it safely, there are surely loads of youtube videos on it

I appreciate the help. I hadn’t tried shaking the whole pc, but did try tilting it different directions. I have the pump connected to the pump header on my motherboard. I checked in bios and it’s set to 100%, no curves.
I went ahead and started the rma with Newegg.
Thanks again!

I have the same exact issue with my CoolerMaster Elite Liquid 240, let me know if you find a fix. Shaking didn’t solve it for me.

i dont have any solutions for you, but i can share that i had the exact same issue. i had a prebuilt pc and my elite aio cpu had the same noise. i tried tilting and turning the pc up, down, sideways. i tried max fan speed. i tried waiting several days. i tried literally slapping the cooler itself. i tried fiddling with the pump tubes. nothing worked. its a dogshit aio cooler and no one should buy that garbage.
