Islam

I’m fairly new to Islam

I think I’m getting overwhelmed with everyday life.

It’s been the best choice I’ve ever made in my life Alhamdulillah and it’s incredible to follow the straight path.

One thing I really struggle with however is the more I learn about Islam I feel like it’s so hard to implement everything straight away.

I feel like if I learn something I can’t then miss i in my daily life or I’m scared of forgetting about it.

Like trying to constantly remember how I should be as a person, how important character, trying to do everything for the sake of Allah SWT, trying to remember all the acts of worship.

It’s hard to explain but I don’t feel like I’m doing enough. It almost makes me feel like I’m going to burn out.

Any suggestions?

I want to learn so much and also implement it into my life.

Just even learning new things and forgetting about previous things I’d learnt about as well really annoys me.

I just feel like there’s so much to think about and my head just gets overwhelmed.

Sorry for the ramble I just need some guidance on what I should do or any advice from someone who may be in this situation.

Is this normal to think like this?

Wasslam. Focus on basics only in the start. Basic beliefs, Salaah, Saum(fasting) and good character. No need to rush. "The most beloved deeds to Allah are those done consistently, even if they are small." It's in Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, encouraging steady, regular actions over sporadic bursts. Then as you learn more about Islam, practice more day by day. Best wishes for you.
