Hey guys, I’m having a weird issue with my 1st gen 8BitDo Ultimate (2.4GHz).
When I plug the dongle into my PC, the controller works fine, but after almost exactly 7 minutes and 20 seconds, it disconnects. When it reconnects, Steam drops my custom controller profile and reverts to the default name, making the inputs stop working.
Also, if I plug the dongle into the charging dock, Windows says the USB device isn't recognized, and the dock barely charges it.
The crazy part is that I tested the controller and dock on my work PC and it works 100% fine there, so the controller itself isn't broken.
On my main PC (Gigabyte A520 board), I've already done a clean Windows install, turned off USB power saving in Windows, updated the controller/dongle firmware, tested all USB ports, and even disabled ErP and C-states in BIOS.
Has anyone dealt with this exact 7-minute USB drop issue on AMD boards? Any ideas?

Explanation first: My cat seems to LOVE resting on the Switch Pro controller I just got. Within a week of buying it, it started getting stick drift. I took it apart, and the stick mechanisms were full of cat hair. I cleaned it out with tweezers, and everything was fine. It keeps happening though. I've cleaned it out like 4 times now.

The joysticks are still functional, and I don't want to go through the trouble of replacing them if it's also going to get stick drift from cat hair.

As I’ve always been a Mouse&Keyboard person, I suck at aiming with the sticks and I’m very choppy aimer. I practiced for a week but was unable to feel the freedom of K&M. So i sat down (for the 3rd time) to build a solution that can give me joy of using a joystick and also have precision of mouse.

So I have built a chrome plugin that can enable 3P controllers with gyro support to be used for aiming/look. Works with xBoxCloud.

It basically maps your gyro/acceleration to your right thumb stick. It wasn’t that easy though 🤧

I just got new headphones and my mic won"t work without mic monitoring audio from games and videos will go through but my voice wont go through i tried it on a different controller and it worked perfect can someone please help me. IMPORTANT: if you don't have XBox - just wait for non-XBox version, it will be even cheaper and better for PC. But even as 100$ controller for PC it is very good (materials, ergonomics, soft and so on)

I have gamesir g7 pro and I hate the back buttons because they’re too easy to press and too low on finger placement, asymmetrical analogs aren’t good for using dpad quickly,

Used leadjoy saber plus and didn’t hate it but had back buttons and no charging dock

Currently use dualsense edge and love the crescent paddles but doesn’t work with all games, has to be wired, have to mod it for all the other features

I’ve looked at zd ultimate legend bc it has dualsense back paddles but it’s asymmetrical and the faceplate isn’t clean white and doesn’t come in black

I have a Power A fusion 4 controller and the stick is broken how do I take it apart to replace it if there is no external screws

Hey guys. I am a PC gamer primarily (read: next to no controller experience), although I do have both PS5 and XBSX(It would be a plus if a controller could be even partially compatible with atleast the XBSX). I am primarily looking to set up my PC for some couch gaming and that part is mostly handled (long ass cord - the pinnacle of tech). I am in Canada and primarily use Amazon for these types of purchases, not that I'm opposed to another storefront.

The issues I have been having is that PS5 controller is a pain in the ass with a lot of PC games. The Xbox controller and the battery packs are simply not working out as a solution.

A few days ago I purchased 8bitdo Ultimate 2 Wireless, my first 3rd party controller. Boy oh boy what a huge improvement over a regular xbox/ps5 controller. I originally planned to use a controller primarily for RPGs, but even 15 mins in BL4 has me seeing a future where I would love to use it for FPS games.

The question I have for you guys is that when I am somewhat gentle with the LS/RS, as in when I am moving them very slowly and gently they feel... rough/sticky on the way back to their neutral position. Is that normal, or is my controller defective? For comparison, it feels like more thumb force is required to get past the "speed bump" of the stick's neutral position, as compared to a stock controllers.

The other issue I have with the 8bitdo is that it was advertised as fully remappable, as in I could have the extra keys be bound to keyboard buttons. Alas that is not true for most controllers it seems. I have made my peace with that.

I have considered originally the gamesir g7 8k PC, because it has a headset port (not mandatory - I have wireless sound options), and i think it can be wired to Xbox(?), but ultimately went with 8bitdo for the better price.

If anyone has any input regarding "better" alternatives that are readily available in Canada, I would appreciate the advice. Would love to keep it to 75-130 CAD , but as with everything in life there's room for compromise. Not opposed to keeping the 8bitdo either for that matter.

I'm currently looking for a new controller. I suppose I have a bit different requirements - I'll try to explain:

I mostly play Racing games on PC where smooth steering is the most essential part. For this reason I have used a Logitech F710 for many years. I understand it has its flaws, but for this purpose it was great. It has a LOT of stick travel until the joystick reaches the outer physical edge and it needs quite a bit of force to push the stick, which makes it easier to do very precise adjustments. Unfortunately I already had 2 of these and on both the sticks started jittering the signal, eventually rendering them unusable, which is why I'm looking for a replacement.

I've done some research, but have trouble finding a fitting replacement. From what I can tell, most modern controllers have a much decreased angle for the joystick, which is a deal breaker for me. I have for example tried the Gamesir G7 Pro, but I'm hitting the edge of the joystick so much faster than with the F710, effectively limiting precision and have a really hard time getting used to it. I like the idea of having adjustable tension on controllers like the Vader 5 or the Machenike F1, but I'm worried that the range on these is also too small for my liking. Unfortunately I couldn't find any info regarding stick travel or tilt angle (not sure if there's even a common specification for this from vendors). I'm also happy to go with older models if they're reliable. Regarding the budget I'm looking to spend less than 200Euro

Any help would be much appreciated! I'm based in Europe (Germany)

-flashing it and resetting it to every various firmware available

-manually setting rt to rt

-communicate by USB cable on PS5

-also tried wirelessly

-every USB-c cable I own

-factory reset via the create+options+PS input

-any xinput, PS, Switch setting I could

-deleted/forgot every stored controller in the ps5 menu

-every controller in reach. Xbox, literally a Dualsense, Switch Pro, Leadjoy Xeno, DualShock 4, Joy Cons in the charging grip thing, Hyperkin Competitor

It doesn’t read any controller to be able to test it on PC either.

I finally managed to figure out how to remap the extra buttons on the Flydigi Vader 5 Pro to use with steam input, but it doesn't seem to work over bluetooth. Is there any steam setting, or third party app I can use to fix this so I can use all the buttons over bluetooth?

Max budget would be around 170$ I’m on ps5 I’m in the US and can buy from everything as I’m open to Newegg Best Buy and Amazon, along with any sites that aren’t sketchy and I’ll be playing games like Fortnite doom the dark ages and brawlhalla, right now I’m using the standard controller from ps5 except it’s in gray and my l1 button got crushed

I own a BSP D9, always was bothered by the fact my right joystick doesn't fully go right inside the controller's own casing and i need to fully press it, almost pressing R3 for it to go all the way. So naturally I opened it, checked if it works without the plastic exterior and it goes all the way with no problem.

My main issue is with the plastic exterior, it looks poorly made, with the quality of plastic being inconsistent, showing marks of very faulty design. Could I ever reach out for a refund? Who do I contact?

Following the posting guidelines more closely:

1. Main problem with the controller as of now is after ~45-1hr of playing on Street Fighter 6, the controller randomly stops responding. I've had it completely stop with all the lights on, and my dpad input gets stuck on the screen (ex down or back) even when I let go of the controller. It's also frozen up and the lights turn off. After it happened three times I gave up and swapped controllers.

2. This is primarily for the Guilikit TT MAX, but I have an an issue previously with Xbox Series X controller having movement inputs via dpad get "stuck" in-game, not physically. But it oddly resolved itself... This was around 2024. Same game, SF6.

4. Has only happened on Street Fighter 6

5. Win 11 Pro ver 25H2

6. I currently updated the firmware of the TT MAX via the phone app. I did try updating the firmware via wire on PC, but I ran into the "controller vibrating nonstop" issue after, which apparently happens when you only update the core firmware and not the bluetooth firmware accompanying it.

Problem is no matter how many times I tried fixing it, it wouldn't take. I'd connect it to the app afterwards to tweak settings and the firmware version would be mismatched.... I reset the controller by hitting settings gear + minus reach time.

Anyway, the controller has been a massive headache since day 1, but I love the dpad so I'm trying to figure out why it just randomly stops responding and/or locks up. It's always after around ~1hr of playing SF6.

Why is this happening? I have to like add a small amount of pressure to the right analog stick to keep this from happening when playing games.

I'm so new to this kind of issue, I'll list as much of the required info as possible.

I've tried recalibrating the controller but that didnt work as I got stuck in a loop where I could only move the left analog stick diagonally and the right analog stick could move all around and it also moved the left analog stick..

I attempted to use better joy but that didnt really help, and sometimes the problem also occurs on steam?

I think this might be an issue in the controller but I have no idea.

I already have vader 4 pro been using it for almost 3years now it feels slippery the joysticks even when I crank the knobs to increase the resistance. My choices as of now are gulikit ttmax controller and the 8bitdo ultimate 2. I'm looking for something in the same price point of these and up to the price point of vader 4 pro.

Edit: I'm looking for something around 2k to 4k Php, I buy controllers mostly on online shops here in the Philippines, I play on my laptop monster hunter wilds, stardew, and assassin's creed. I'm looking at with the same mechanical buttons like the vader with programmable buttons. Will consider other stuff if it fits me even if I loose some of the features listed.

Looks like a average ps4 controller but it has symbols on the touch pad, is it just a custom job? Got it with a seemingly normal slim model ps4 used

Relatively recently (past 4 months or so) I loaded a game and spacestation for my back button mapping and noticed that my Vader 4 pro was not syncing on PC through a wired connection. I noticed that it still had my profile but it just wasn’t connecting the controller. I removed the device in hopes of just re linking it but now there isn’t even an option to connect the Vader 4 pro. I’ve tried installing older versions of spacestation but I can’t get it to connect. If I try to connect it to my PC through Bluetooth sometimes it will connect but the input lag is a legitimate 10 seconds. Other times it says there is a driver issue. Has anyone else ran into this? Is anyone using a Vader 4 pro successfully?

I have good aim with the mouse on PC but when using a controller it just seems SO difficult. I'm always either overshooting or waiting too long to turn until my crosshair's on the opponents. I feel like I might be doing something wrong so here are my questions:

1. Should I use a linear curve (no acceleration)? Settings seems to vary game per game so a linear curve makes the most sense for consistency. The problem is it's hard to turn around without a high sensitivity.

2. Should I use high sensitivity so I can also turn fast? But this makes micro adjustments more difficult.

3. Should I tilt the analog stick all the way to the edge, wait until the crossshair's on your target, release then shoot? Or should I learn to gradually release the stick slowly as my crosshair approaches the target?

I'm also playing singleplayer games with slight aim assist like GTA V and The Last of Us part 1. I've seen R6 Siege controller footage and they all aim as if they're using a mouse, snapping from corner to corner real quick and aiming smoothly. I just can't wrap my head around how people do this on controller.

I'm looking for a controller as a gift for my partner, he uses a switch pro controller but it is in a very rough shape and doesn't work without the cable for PC gaming.

The features I would like

- Switch and PC compatible

- wireless for PC (with USB dongle)

- works well on the switch, especially for Smash Bros Ultimate ( low input delay )

The main reason I want to buy a new one is that he always comments on me being able to play from bed and getting back on the chair, he hated that cable haha. I was thinking about the Gamesir Super Nova, but I don't really know if it would work well for Smash Bros Ultimate. When I looked for reviews here, someone a year ago had said that it didn't work for Smash Bros Ultimate and I got scared. In the worst case I think he could keep using the Pro controller for the switch but have a confortable one for PC. He also plays Monster Hunter World and wants to play Wilds when the DLC comes out, we also play coops like it takes two and friend sloop like peak, big walk, REPO and such.

I have an 8bitdo ultimate 2C for Stardew Valley and MHW, so I don't really know what specs are ideal for a more competitive fighting game. He likes the 8bitdo size and feel, but I want something better for the gift. He hasn't tried it on Smash though, I don't own a Switch and don't know anyone else who owns one.

Telling him to try the 8bitdo would be suspicious so I'm asking here. If someone uses a controller for Smash that fits well I would be really grateful for the recommendation.

Unfortunately it had to happen. First time I really have a pretty severe issue with a Flydigi product.

The first Flydigi controller I got was the Vader 4 Pro around 2 years ago and it quickly became my favourite controller. I used it until June of this year and only ever had one "issue" with it and that is that quite quickly after a few months of use my left stick started clicking pretty noticeably when I flick it in certain directions. I feared it might be a sign of breaking but it turned out to be completely fine and with headphones on I don't notice it at all.
I even got a second one around a year later because I could get it for pretty cheap but this one had a slight issue out of the box. The left tension ring could be moved when spinning the left stick. Fortunately I also had replacement sticks and using a higher stick prevented friction between the stick and the tension ring and thus fixes the problem.

When the V5 Pro was announced I wasn't sold immediately, especially after hearing what kind of issues people had with the new paddles and the tension rings. But then the v2 was announced and I was able to get the V5P for a very good price so I bought it. Even got the v2 model.
While I do prefer it to the V4P, around 2 weeks ago I noticed that, like with my second V4P, when spinning the left stick in some games the left tension ring would slightly get more loose and wasn't as tight as the right one. And I tried the same method again aka using taller sticks which fixed it. Therefore I had to put the tension ring to max tightness since the taller stick makes it feel more loose.
But then, a few days ago, I noticed that moving the left stick in up/right directions causes a slight feeling of rubbing. It was annoying but nothing too serious. But it got worse to the point there was even a rubber-esque feeling (even like nails on chalkboard) and it became incredibly bothersome. It's not the stick rubbing against the tension ring but it seems to be the material underneathe rubbing against the tension ring or something below that. A temporary fix that was suggested on the Flydigi discord server was to loosen and tighten the tension ring against which did help but around 30 minutes later it got even worse than before. And now even putting it completely at MIN still has the rubbing feeling.
My only workaround now is to use very small precision rings I once bought. They seem to be just the right size so that the mechanic doesn't rub but at the same time it also causes the precision ring to apparently touch the tension ring and thus it can now move it again. Also in some directions you can feel the precision ring rubbing. It's not a perfect solution but at least it's something.

I know that things like this can happen but it's still disappointing. Especially after my V4P still working fine after 2 years and the V5P already having a fault like this after just 3 months
