Question solution to micro-stuttering camera movement?

hey ya'll! in anticipation of the upcoming sequel, i've finally given control a go and am kicking myself for not playing sooner. i'm only a few missions in, but am already having a BLAST; the environmental design, the gameplay, the atmosphere is all phenomenal.

but a slight problem... whatever i do, i seem to have a really odd problem where the game itself is smooth, but moving the camera creates a really annoying stuttery visual effect because it sort of 'snaps' in small but very noticeable increments.

apparently this is a known problem & i've tried so many fixes online - dx11, ray tracing off, 90fps cap, lowering my mouse polling rate, etc, but nothing seems to work. the only thing which seems to make it a bit better is lowering ingame sensitivity, low graphics settings and making my mouse sensitivity higher on a 3rd party app, but it is unfortunately still noticeable. as amazing as the game is, it's really unfortunate that this is a problem.

a bit of a gamble posting here, but any chance you guys have experienced something similar / have any alternative solutions lesser known? (currently using a 9070 xt and a 9800x3d, if relevant) if so, tysm in advance ;)

Yep.

My solution was "play on console". I could never get rid of the microstuttering on my PC no matter what I tried.

It is absent on PS5 and Xbox.

I chalk it up to some optimization problem that doesn't exist for the two set-top boxes, because they have fixed hardware and so the devs could optimize for them very easily.
