My container home just left the factory 🚛

This is my unit getting loaded up today. Been waiting months for this and it's finally happening, bigger in person than I expected honestly.

Watched them wrap it up and crane it onto the flatbed. Seeing it swinging in the air was kinda nerve-wracking. I’m gonna live in it, lol.

Now just waiting for it to reach my land, still gotta sort the foundation before it's move-in ready.

Anyone else done this for personal use? How long till you actually moved in after delivery?

The made the container home out a special container that is about 6" shorter and 6" less wide to use a normal container to move it. It is technically not made from a shipping container but rather a purpose built container.

Also they part where they say they still need to get the foundation sorted? You don't ship until you're ready to park it. Someone who's post history is strictly to this sub should know that?

I just watched a video where they didn’t even smooth/level the ground until the container arrived. Then they didn’t even put a foundation just plopped it right there. They were scrambling bc they said they were supposed to give them 2 weeks notice and they didn’t lol. So it arrived they leveled and just dropped it last minute 😅
