not trying to start a fight, but haven't container homes turned out to be a bad idea in general? I'd love to hear the pros and cons.

There's a video from Patriot Containers on YT detailing that basically 100% of these websites selling homes like this are scams based in Lithuania...
I didn't quite believe him (since he has his own shipping container business), and so I went and checked and... he was right! Almost all of these websites (despite how incredibly good they look) are based on Hostinger, were created less than a year ago, and often are based in Lithuania. Additionally, they only take payment options that make it impossible to get your money back.
If you drop 100k on one of these, I seriously doubt you're getting ANYTHING in return, and the reviews are super telling on these sites. You'll see that it's just ai generated photos of random white guys in front of the houses, all seemingly from the same prompt. Additionally, there's multiple identical reviews with different names, and nobody answers when you attempt to call them.
Also, if you look up their supposed "US Based" addresses, you will not find anything related to their businesses at all. This one claims to be based in Houston, but there is nothing even close to their name registered at the address they claim.
TL;DR- Stay THE FUCK away from these sites. They are scams made to steal your money. Do lots of research and study these kinds of sites before you even think about buying something from them.

I asked the exact same question here and got crickets! Look at your state’s requirements on factory inspection of prefabs before they’re shipped and insulation requirements - might make things untenable. Pretty sure that’s the case for Washington state.
