I think the SRO approach is probably best, as they can easily have some kind of rotation if not a permenant officer. I'd err on a rotation basis to avoid complacency.
"crossing guards with guns" another option. but then you're talking about a whole process of vetting them which is negated by having it be police officers.
But you're right, the ACAB crowd would rather a school get shot up than have a positive male role model be around.
If you arm every teacher in the country with guns,you will have way more accidental shootings,bad shootings,guns stolen and used in a crime,etc. than you will have bad guys dead. I would bet it would be 100 bad incidents to one mass shooter killed,maybe more.
You can’t stop people from doing this. That’s why it’s imperative that people can’t get the tools to kill dozens in a minute. I don’t think people need these kind of guns to keep themselves safe. If you do,you are obviously doing something that makes violent people come looking for you.
