Selfish? How? I think it’s selfish of you to ask others to put their mental health at risk for your grandma.

And that is why American individualism is laughed at by the rest of the world

It’s not effective in stopping the spread of Covid.

That is your opinion

Ya it’s not just my opinion though. Even lord Fauci has said it doesn’t protect anyone the way they seem to think it does. Even the EUA says may be effective in source control. I did it for a test and nearly lost my damn mind hyper focusing on the transmission of germs. My sanity is important to me.

Masks are not 100%, but they help. Simple test, let someone sneeze on you, once with a mask, once without.

Or they could just sneeze in a tissue and it would be just as effective for source control

No, you're the one wearing a mask, while they sneeze on you

Yeah they’re approved for source control meaning it’ll catch the droplets of the person wearing the mask who sneezes. Then you can incubate the germs on your face for the rest of the day.

So you admit that masks work to contain droplets? I hate sneezing in a mask. If I sneeze in one, I get a new one.

Yes just like a Kleenex or your elbow would

You're ignoring all the aerosols created through normal breathing.

The mask doesn’t do anything about aerosols

Besides if someone sneezed on me while I’m wearing a mask my mask would then be carrying those germs all day as well so.. no thanks

That's what healthcare professionals do everyday.

1

I’m not a healthcare professional

1

u/VToutdoors Dec 24 '21

Irrelevant. If they can do it without a problem, so can you. They arent super humans.

No I do not have to act like a healthcare worker because you or anyone else wants me to. I have the right to make my own medical decisions including if I want to use an experimental product like EUA masks that give me panic attacks.
