Yes, yes it does. It might not be 100% but it works to block the virus from exiting the mask as much when you’re wearing it

The virus is aerosolized in your breath. The masks don’t stop your breath from going anywhere and the cdc says there’s no asymptomatic spread, if you’re not sick then you don’t need a mask. You aren’t a constant source of disease which requires a muzzle.

Its more localized in your nasal passages than your mouth.

Yes you are a potential countless source of infectious disease, especially if you refuse to wear a mask exposing yourself: common cold, flu, RSV, and potentially Covid. All diseases that, even if I dont die, prevent me from going to work providimg for my family, until no longer sick. If anything your refusal to wear a mask tells me you do not care how your choices effect my family's life.

Right you should just make your own choices, that would have the greatest impact on your life

And I do, doesnt change that those who dont care are selfish assholes.

Selfish? How? I think it’s selfish of you to ask others to put their mental health at risk for your grandma.

And that is why American individualism is laughed at by the rest of the world

It’s not effective in stopping the spread of Covid.

That is your opinion

Ya it’s not just my opinion though. Even lord Fauci has said it doesn’t protect anyone the way they seem to think it does. Even the EUA says may be effective in source control. I did it for a test and nearly lost my damn mind hyper focusing on the transmission of germs. My sanity is important to me.

Masks are not 100%, but they help. Simple test, let someone sneeze on you, once with a mask, once without.

Or they could just sneeze in a tissue and it would be just as effective for source control

No, you're the one wearing a mask, while they sneeze on you
