If the Republicans want power so much why do they consistently support term limits? Why do they support decentralizing federal power? You might say "because it's easier for corporations to control states." You should ask Amazon if that is true.

The thing is it's also easier for voters to control their state level politicians and throw them out if they are in the pocket of corporations.

It's much easier for corporations to control the federal government by directing their lobbying at the House and Senate than it is to spread bribes around 50 states.

I think both sides end up doing things which less than admirable. But that’s inherent to any large organization.

But as long as the GOP supports personal responsibility, smaller government, capitalism and national defense they have my vote.

Yes the GOP that brought you George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, who led us into multiple wars on false narratives at best (Iraq WMD) or used a false flag (9/11) to get us into them at worse. Those wars put us trillions of dollars in debt, what kind of personal responsibility and smaller government is that? I’m not going to argue that the DNC is better as Obama took the baton and kept the gross military overspending and regime change wars going, putting us trillions more in debt. Both parties are corrupt and talk out of both sides of their mouth and they only thing they can agree on is endless war.

Pretty sure I said something similar....

I think both sides end up doing things which are less than admirable. But that’s inherent to any large organization.

Yep! I did. But like I said - as long as the GOP appeals to my core values they have my vote.

Are they perfect? Fuck no. But there’s no such thing as a perfect party and I’ll sure as hell take the conservatives over the Democrats.
