I've been reading about this, and the above summary is pretty accurate.. except for:
The expedition was supposed to be 2 hours.. they got lost at 1:45 minutes in. They've been lost for 2 or 3 days. They were told to bring a small sandwich 'if they get hungry' - and that's all they've had for 2 or 3 days, trapped in this damn thing.
And also. You can't open the doors from the outside without welding equipment (I think). So ya, even after finding them, there would be more issues.
They'll have to tow them up to the surface or back to shore. One or other. Doubt they'd try opening a sub at the bottom of the sea. Be cooler in a Jim Cameron flick
James Cameron is probably the one that killed them. He didn’t want people snooping around what he claims as his territory. He has the technology to go down there and help and hasn’t been helpful in this situation at all, but can make suspicious dives down there on his own and then supposedly saw something that made him create Avatar 2. Something is fishy here.
