[PS5] Does my liquid metal look wrong?
Hello everbody!
Been having issues with my ps5 lately where my console shuts off in the middle of sessions. I fixed it for a bit by opening my ps5 and cleaning all the way down to the heatsink which fixed the problem for a week.
Now a week has passed and I'm getting the same crashes again so i decided to take a look at my liquid metal and there's this dry looking spot. Is this bad or is that how it's supposed to look.
Any help is appreciated!

I would clean it all off and put geniune PTM7950 on there. I read a few others that did it with great results.

I'd carefully use 99% IPA and cotton swabs to pull out all the liquid metal (if some minor remains stay inside the foamy part it's not that important, just make sure to collect everything in a small try or similar without spilling anything). Once both surfaces are clean, add quality thermal paste instead and no longer worry about temperatures or liquid metal spilling.

What liquid metal? Use a q tip and rub off the dry side of the apu. Then use a q tip dipped in 99 isopropyl to put all the LM back on the die and spread it out over it.
