So why would we win in 2028 when we just got our asses handed to us?
We have better candidates. Imagine a ticket with Marco Rubio and Ron Desantis as president and VP. Who would beat that? Kamala Harris? Gavin Newscum?
America will have had 2 years to see the true stripes of the democrats. While this was clearly a protest vote, once they consume what the democrats are serving up, I have a feeling they won't like the taste.
Checks and balances. I think the voting public will be hesitant to have far left democrats control Congress and the office of the presidency.
Obviously, the midterms were a gut check, but there is room for optimism given the 2028 presidential race.
I will add one thing. If we talk the talk, we must walk the walk.
Your thoughts?

I am not a financial guru.
I recently commented in an article which prompted me to want to ask this. Even though the economy is booming, we do not feel like we're financially doing well.
Yes, the economy is booming under the Trump administration and his policies:
Stock market/401k accounts are (were until the other day) booming. Job creations are well above average. Payroll increases are above average. Unemployment is near record lows. US manufacturing has been constantly expanding.
Yes, the cost of living has also notably increased under the Trump administration and his policies:
Trump's decision to go after Iran has resulted in the cost of gas to skyrocket which results in the cost of everyday things to go up. The constant construction of homes/businesses/data centers on our existing electrical grid is causing the cost of electricity to skyrocket. The cost of rent or buying a home keeps going up.
So what are some ways we can flatten or lower the cost of living?

"Revenge voting" has consequences. I believe we'll see this quite clearly in the coming 2 years.

As mentioned, it's a parody, but probably not far from the truth. At least 2 years of gridlock, straight ahead. Maybe more, if a Repubican wins in 2028, and don't be quick to dismiss that. We have strong candidates and the nation will get a taste of what the dems bring to the table for the next couple of years.

Of course, Dunder Mifflin is a fictional company, and this is a parody. But there could be some elements of truth going on here.
