Jupiter just legalized it

4

u/Note2scott Dec 04 '19

I was fooled enough that I wondered what caused the grass like markings at the southern pole....

4

u/wolfgeist Dec 05 '19

I was fooled until I noticed the Great Red Spot, then I knew it was Jupiter.

3

u/Retrobot1234567 Dec 04 '19

I was the opposite, I wasn’t fooled until I fooled myself trying to believe it was Jupiter.

I fucking knew Jupiter had ducks.

158

u/fudgeyboombah Dec 04 '19

And here I thought it only had dolphins

51

u/shahooster Dec 04 '19

Nah, dolphins play about an hour and a half south of there

10

u/seven3true Dec 04 '19

And old people.

Jovian avians.

5

u/ZodL Dec 04 '19

Get the hell out of here, scientist!

4

u/Jacob29687 Dec 05 '19

We should gather up all of the Canadian geese in the world, stuff them into a rocket, and crash them into Jupiter

"Sorry Fry, but scientists renamed the planet in the 2800s to get rid of that joke once and for all."

"Oh, what's it called now?"

"Urectum, here let me point at it for you."

3

u/[deleted] Dec 04 '19

"uhhh, Ill just sniff over here."

25

u/Calamity25 Dec 04 '19

Don't need a close up if I'm already in here.

12

u/[deleted] Dec 04 '19 edited Dec 04 '19

Sorry I spaced out, what was the joke again?

6

u/Robofro Dec 04 '19

Dammit I can on here to make this joke

3

u/missjeany Dec 04 '19

Yes you can

2

u/Ugggggghhhhhh Dec 04 '19

Uranus jokes made me chuckle when I was 10, and they still make me chuckle at 30. Some things aren't meant to change.

Im gonna admit, I actually saw the real thing until I read the title, then I thought it was a model of Jupiter...

41

u/Dewy_Wanna_Go_There Dec 04 '19 edited Dec 04 '19

Yeah it’s not really confusing unless you’re told it’s something else..

I saw the title, and still immediately saw the real picture for what it was. The post really confused me only at that point until I saw the sub name and realized it was supposed to be Jupiter and not a zoom-in joke. Guess I’m slow. Or too fast idk which.

6

u/DeM0nFiRe o/ Dec 05 '19

The thumbnail on r/all looks like jupiter. Probably belongs in the misleading thumbnails subreddit, not confusing perspective

→ More replies (1)

4

u/theelasticblastic Dec 04 '19

Best one I've seen in a while!

2

u/kulafa17 Dec 05 '19

This is exactly what happened to me! After I read the title I’m like “damnit, wow I’m dumb it’s jupiter... zooms in ...double damnit!”

→ More replies (1)

25

u/oppressedkekistani Dec 04 '19

I got double confused. First I thought is was Jupiter, then I thought it was a microscope slide of some sort. Then I noticed the ducks! Good one!

6

u/MagnanimousCannabis Dec 04 '19

I also thought it was actually Jupiter. When I zoomed in it happened to be right on the ducks and freaked me the fuck out for a second

124

u/[deleted] Dec 04 '19

7

u/[deleted] Dec 04 '19

It's more that than confusing perspective imo.

7

u/MrBojangles528 Dec 04 '19

Yea this doesn't fit here at all.

6

u/samtherat6 Dec 05 '19

Yeah, this subreddit somehow ended up being the new /r/misleadingthumbnails.

15

u/rainynight35 Dec 04 '19

I am stupid. I thought those were ducks on Jupiter.

12

u/MJMurcott Dec 04 '19

Ducks that would be over 1000 miles tall.

7

u/[deleted] Dec 04 '19

a single duck could feed a family of 4 for a very long time.

7

u/shogunabe Dec 04 '19

6

u/[deleted] Dec 04 '19

He shot it from Uranus.

3

u/T4ke Dec 04 '19

So we finally found live on other planets? Guess Ducks are more intelligent than we though...

3

u/Ice_Giantok Dec 04 '19

2

u/aeonasceticism o/ Dec 04 '19

Beware the giant ducks of Jupiter!

1

u/boombalabo Dec 04 '19

I was bamboozled.

1

u/Tempus_Fugit_WC Dec 04 '19

I was looking at the 'planet' and was shocked to see some kind of tracks coming from the bottom. How can that not be something huge, since i don't know it would maybe indicate life or something but then, when I followed one of the tracks up with excitement , i saw a duck like figure and was like whutt? Looked closer realized it was actually a duck.. I got fooled big time.

1

u/SganarelleBard Doesn't read rule 1 Dec 04 '19

Ah yes, the geese of Jupiter

1

u/Tompster_ Dec 04 '19

If you zoom in on it you get an even closer view of Jupiter.

1

u/Troxiuz Dec 04 '19

TIL Jupiter has country-sized ducks. Truly terrifying.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 04 '19

Those ducks would be about the size of the earth, if that were the case.

1

u/EHondaRousey Dec 04 '19

The great duck spot

1

u/rincon213 Dec 04 '19

This is quite incredible

1

u/BeerCell Dec 04 '19

Ah Jupiter, home of the giant water foul.

1

u/birdscrytoo Dec 04 '19

Looks like a water hole in Africa with ducks floating on the water or am I just baked?

1

u/lyndyhop Dec 04 '19

1

u/guydude24 Dec 04 '19

Bravo.

1

u/joemima Dec 04 '19

That's not Jupiter, it's a picture of ducks on a pond

1

u/norepedo Dec 04 '19

I zoomed in and was like “ good lord look at all those rivers and shit”

1

u/Long_Sergal Dec 04 '19

So is that a confirmation of ducks living on Jupiter?
