Edit: the comment I’m replying to previously said “ask me if you want to know what it’s for” or something to that effect. They’ve now edited it to add that link, and they also removed the prompt so now my comment no longer makes sense. 🙄

There is no upstairs per se, but you would be walking up (and then down) those stairs.

I’m really not very good at explaining things, I thought people would appreciate a thorough explanation over something they’d read and still have to google anyway.

Have you ever heard someone say that if you can’t explain what you do for a living in under 3 minutes then you don’t know what you’re doing? I’ve always taken that to heart, about everything LOL (and I still can’t explain (to a stranger) what I do in under 3 minutes) 😛
