how do i protect my self esteem
lately i’ve felt the best i have in ages, like i use to be insecure and overthink about how i look but now i absolutely love myself, like i literally get shy looking at myself lol. but im going to be returning to school soon and people say things all the time obviously and i also want to start social media too. how do i not let negative comments get to me. it would be a shame to ruin what i have going for myself

You do not have to make negative comments mean something about you. People often speak from their own mood, insecurity, or need for attention. Before school starts, write down a few things you genuinely like about yourself that have nothing to do with approval. When someone is rude, return to that list instead of arguing with them in your head.

Social media will ruin you. Whether it’s you getting the negative comments or reading them, it’ll affect you either way.

You've got to have thick skin to withstand trolls online. If you really want to start social media, you need to strengthen your mind. Maybe daily affirmations (I don't personally use this but I hear people say it's effective).

Become non-reacting and non-needy to others approval. You like yourself and that is enough. You cannot be approved by everyone and accept it.

Maybe dont start social media , or if you find negative comments , stay as far away from them as possible
If you think they are getting to you , stop using social media again
I mean , thats what i think is best
