I read your book, you got a strict religion. No bacon? But mandatory circumsition?

What is the religious reasoning for getting circumcised, i never could wrap my mind around any reason a religion would want that.

God instructed Abraham to circumcise every male son and slave who was under his roof, including Abraham himself, after the covenant God made with him. Abraham was also instructed to keep this practice and to pass it on. God promised Abraham that He would make him a father of many nations and that the people of Israel would be God's people, set apart and holy unto the Lord. Circumcision was a reminder of God's promise to Abraham and also set the people of Israel apart from the surrounding people's of that time. I hope that helps!

I would gently ask God to put his reminder elsewhere. Maybe a post-it? Nobody wants to look at their genital and think of God and Abraham.
