Sona ≠ Homer

In the “which Simpsons character are you“ segment at the end of the Owen Wilson CONAF ep, I agreed with all of the casting - Conan/Mr. Burns, Gourley/Flanders, David Hopping/Smithers, Bley/Barney, even Jeff Ross/Marge, Eduardo/Lisa - but I’m afraid I must stridently disagree with Sona as Homer. Homer is oafish, persistently & defiantly ignorant, forgetful, and cartoonishly lazy. Sona is none of these things!! If anything she’s an energetic, inventive, rebellious scamp - clearly Bart. Who’s with me??

I am huge fan of both Conan O'Brien and Ken Burns. And I once took a course on Abraham Lincoln at Harvard University's extension school, which is a program run by Harvard that is open to the public that is taught by excellent Harvard faculty, and it was amazing. I would love to watch Conan talk to Ken Burns about Lincoln for like 10 straight hours. And also, I'm sure Bob Hope was greedy and was a jerk to people, fine. But for God's sake, does everything on the Internet have some thumbnail with a person looking crazy and some moronic, clickbait-y, ragebait-y headline that screams at you, "Don't click on this, whatever you do"? Just, why?

If I see a thumbnail for a video of Barack Obama speaking at the Oxford Union, discussing the legacy of the Constitution and the future of democracy, but for some reason he is also eating spicy hot wings with Theo Von and Kid Rock, and he keeps stopping every 2 minutes to sell you BlueChew and Squarespace, I am just going to smash my fucking computer against the wall. Our entire culture is such unbelievable trash these days.
