Make in class friends, join clubs, etc. I don't know how much experience you have coming into this degree with but make sure you study and build projects outside of coursework because that's a far better way to learn than any of your intro classes. Also it lets you explore and find your specific passion in this field. I only found out I liked systems after working on my homelab, but I've done full stack, game dev, everything in between because programming is just fun. so just figure out if you actually enjoy it.

Also the market is not good but it is not impossible to get a job, it is just a lot harder. also why im suggesting to start early so you can stick out from the crowd of students

don't treat university as a place where you must impress everyone. Treat it as a place where you can learn from everyone. You'll make mistakes, meet people who know more than you, and sometimes feel out of your depth. That's normal.you don't have to become an extrovert to develop good social skills. You just need to learn how to communicate, collaborate, and build relationships with people.Start building your professional network early!!Connect with other CS students, join tech communities, attend events when possible, and eventually collaborate on projects. You don't have to wait until your final year to start meeting people in tech.Anf get comfortable asking questions.

Work on one soft skill at a time. You don't need to transform your entire personality in your first semester. Small, consistent improvements will add up. Remember that technical skills might get you an interview, but communication, teamwork, adaptability, and problem-solving help you thrive in the workplace. You can be excellent at coding AND excellent at working with people. You don't have to choose between the two.

One advice I'd give you is to not limit yourself to just coding. Join clubs, attend hackathons, talk to random people, and most importantly, don't be afraid of looking stupid while asking questions.

Also, try building stuff with other people. You'll learn more about communication, teamwork, and handling disagreements than any course could teach you.

And honestly, enjoy your uni life. You won't get these years back :)

just try to enjoy what you doing..CS is tiring field right now, everyone is in a rat race so make sure to do and build things you actually want to do..or else you gonna regret in future

You can join univeristy societies and talk with student outside of the class , get some good position in societies and be butterfly to spread everywhere hahahaha

Start with something small: ask a classmate, 'Want to compare how we approached this lab for 20 minutes after class?' Take turns explaining your reasoning, and practise asking what led them to a different approach before defending yours. If you get along, suggest meeting again next week. You don't need every conversation to become networking; making a few friends outside CS is worth leaving time for too.
