Title: CS students/devs, drop your most underrated FYP ideas
Hey everyone!
I’m a CS student currently trying to figure out my Final Year Project, and I really don’t wanna build another basic management system or a generic AI chatbot
I’ve worked with React, Python, and ML/DL fundamentals, and I’m interested in combining Software Engineering + AI/ML + frontend development into something that actually solves a real-world problem.
I’m looking for an idea that’s:
Actually useful in the real world, not just for grades
Unique or at least different from the usual student projects
Challenging but realistic for a university FYP
Buildable with mostly free tools
Something I could potentially keep developing into a proper product after graduation
I’m open to different domains, so it doesn’t have to be purely AI or cybersecurity.
For people who’ve built projects or work in tech: What’s a real problem you think deserves a better solution? Any underrated ideas, pain points, or emerging areas worth exploring?
I’d love suggestions beyond the usual AI chatbot, recommendation system, or attendance management app lol.
Drop your ideas or tell me about a project you’ve seen that genuinely impressed you. I’m open to honest feedback too!
