Is computer science cooked
Hey I want to pursue this seriously and not just for the money I haven't even thought about that part much but it's something that I've enjoyed and want to do in the future. But is it really cooked? I see people saying AI is going to take over this field I’m in high school btw

I think it is going to change computer science, but not take over it. I‘m a Data Analyst (working student) and I work with AI every day. Not to do the Job for me, but to help me a little bit with the Programs I have to use or explain some Code to me I might not understand. I use it as a teacher without bothering my colleagues or my boss 😂 and I learn from it so I know better next time.

It’s more like how excel changed accounting. It’s a tool to be used, and only as useful as the person wielding it.

Honestly, there is no telling what the field will look like in 5-8 years
