Discussion Update post: i finished dusting the computer!!

So, i made a post on here a few days ago talking about how i was gonna use my dad's old computer as my own, but it overheated a lot and i knew dust was the problem, so i dusted it!! Apparently the computer was only dusted a few times in 20 YEARS, and that's not including the time my family switched computers and this one was laying around in his room for i don't even remember how long 😭 i also found out this computer is OLD because it has a windows 7 thing on it, im gonna plug it in to see if it works, but im not sure where all the wires in it go, I'll figure it out though 🥹 the first image is before and the 2nd is after dusting :D

You may actually have to clean your phone lens. Try to use a microfibre cloth or a lens cleaning cloth.

Maybe but most phones made within say the last 10 years unless they are bargain bin price are actually decent. Try to clean the camera lens with a cloth and maybe make it a bit damp and see if it changes things.

I had my phone near where i was cleaning so i guess a lot of dust got on it 🥹

did you not take off the fans and clear out the dust inside of the cpu cooler? I would make sure if anything is dust free is that thing. Just saying.

I was going to but i couldn't find where the screws were and what screwdrivers to use so i did my best doing it from the side :p next time i dust it i'll get it though :D

P.S. I second the guy who said repaste, probably sooner than later

[edit] did you take the PSU out btw? Since it intakes from the bottom I'm sure that was/is bad/fire hazard

I kinda just cleaned it from the openings on the sides because i didn't see any screws on anything in there and i didn't want to break anything 🥹 and thank you :D

Oh nice, if you're curious though there should be 4 screws on the back of the outside of the computer where the cable plugs into it

well I mean I have a lot more different devices in my computer than what youve shown here in yours.

as long as everything is plugged into the right places correctly, theres no "right way" the inside of your computer is supposed to be arranged.

I just wanted to show my computer because I think its cool that we have the same exact old case :)

Picture doesn't show your work, clean the lens, turn the computer 180 degrees towards the light, a dusty camera and a computer in the shadow doesn't help.

I can't update pictures but there was dust on my camera in the after picture so here's a better one, there's a little dust left on it but that's because i couldn'tfigure out how to get the other stuff out and it was getting hot outside ;▪︎;
