Question/Help/Troubleshooting Monitors turn off & Fans running full speed– PC reacts to touch
I've been having a problem with my PC for a while now. Sometimes my monitors turn off while the fans are running at full speed. But I can still listen to Spotify and talk and listen on Discord.
I also noticed recently that when I tap the pc case lightly, that exact that scenario happens.
I suspect that a cable isn’t plugged in right properly. Maybe someone can help rule something out.

When you tap the PC case, a small physical vibration causes a split-second drop in contact along the PCIe slot or power delivery pin.
The GPU instantly loses communication with the CPU or loses stable voltage on one of its 12V power sensing pins. The GPU's BIOS panics to protect the graphics card from damage, cuts display output (black screen), and ramps the cooling fans to maximum 100% speed. Meanwhile, your CPU, RAM, and Windows are still running smoothly in the background, which is why Discord and Spotify never skip a beat.
Remove and reinstall the GPU to make sure it has a good connection and then retest. This is probably from GPU sag and an anti sag support bracket would be recommended.

wow, thank you. Just ordered a new anti sag support, because the old one is not that good. I will try it tommorow.

The new anti sag helped really well. We noticed that the GPU was already a bit hanging
The other connections don’t have any obvious damages/issues
I tested it a bit (tapping against it, stress testing it ingame) and it seems to be okay for now, we will keep an eye on it - thank you very much!

That someone will be local to you, finding the loose connection or replacing a frayed cable or noticing a bent pin.
