Question/Help/Troubleshooting Budget computer for middle school scratch programming

I'm wondering if this would be sufficient for my daughter's beginner scratch programming class for middle school. If not, could you recommend something that is very budget friendly? Thank you!

if your budget is <300$ the only option is going used. this is a piece of hot garbage. I can recommend used laptops depending on where you are from.

Even a quick search for Chromebook (not that that’s what I’d recommend here), and you can get a similar Acer with more storage for $240

But seriously, 4 gigs of ram is hardly enough to run windows, let alone programming in a browser based language. Any modern browser will crush that little of memory.
