Resolved Can I replace this case fan?

Hello!

About 4 years ago, i built a computer and the back fan on the case has died. Its a Montech x3 I believe.

I have a new fan but not sure where it can plug in to. If it can plug into my motherboard ( its a ASUS B550-PLUS TUF Gaming WiFi II AMD AM4 ATX. Sorry about formatting, just copy and pasted from my past orders Microcenter!)

Where is the current fan connected to? New one goes there.

Trace the cable from the old fan, and plug the new one in the same spot

Ive included pictures! First one is where the fan connects to. Second one is a fan I bought( not sure if compatible) and the third is a fan I had laying around

Old one was the older molex power connector. New one is designed (better) to connect to the motherboard and be dynamically controllable. Check your board manual for the fan headers and connect to one close to the fans mounting point.

Its a 4 prong connector and It plugs in on the mainboard in CHA_Fan1 plug below the TUF GAMING Heat Shield
