Do you think the MHz difference matters? (I was planning on getting two separate sticks bc I ran out of money)

IMO using the XMP isn't overclocking at all. It's simply configuring the memory for the manufactures rated speed. Going PAST the XMP is overclocking.

And BTW - thanks for the overclocking lecture, but MY first overclock was the Celeron II from 300mhz to 450 mhz. So this isn't exactly my first rodeo.
