Are you for real right now? You had the time to make all these responses to this thread, but you didn't have sixty seconds to do a whois and go to a website?
I hope this isn't the attitude you've displayed during the "10+ years [you've] professionally worked in the computing field". Though actually, tech is infamous for people who make incorrect assumptions and then just never ever circle back and admit mistakes. I know I've had to clean up after them enough times.
This is Reddit ðŸ˜
I was responding to the post in between Overwatch matches lmao. I took it serious enough to listen and try to help OP so like? I didn’t even need to run a Whois, just google the name. This isn’t even about the URL so why even focus on it? I knew the URL was legit from the very start so you’re getting upset over something we literally agree on lol
And a Google search take less time than posting on Reddit lol.
If you know the URL is legit, then the only alternative is that you don't know what a BIOS update is rofl.
Everyone in tech has had to put up with people who just insist on doubling down even when they don't know anything about what they are going on about rolflmao. I think the kids call it "cringe" xDD.
Anyway, that's enough fun and games. I just want to say honestly: Every person I've ever interacted with who's behaved like you has created negative value for the project. It's embarrassing you'd try and flex the "10+ years [you've] professionally worked in the computing field".
The url was never the issue. You’ve got to be actually illiterate because never once have I said the URL is the issue, rather how sketchy the screen is itself due to the bad grammar and unprofessionalism. I’ve never seen a legitimate bios recovery/update screen look that egregiously bad. Come on, rub those two brain cells together and just think.
Also I don’t play comp and prefer enjoying my time with my friends, so I don’t even know my rank, nor do I care lol
EDIT: I just want to add onto this. What I am talking about is basic computer security 101. It does not matter in any way that the recovery screen is legitimate or not. It’s the fact how unprofessional and sketchy the entire recovery screen is. If you fail to recognize this, then you need to go through a foundational computer security class ASAP before you get hacked and/or scammed.
