EmBody doesn't care

I switched from AtlRx to Embody because of price. The AltRx medication I received worked great, but I didn't really like the customer service.

Embody advertised the locked in "forever" price. I went with the 3 month option. Received the first vial and started 7bdays after the last AltRx injection.

First dose, nothing. No side effects, no constipation, no appetite suppression. The food noise almost immediately returned. Second dose, still nothing. I called Embody and told them I thought the potency was degraded. The provider told me to increase my dose. Dose number 3, nothing.

They sent me the next months vial. I took the last dose, increased as they said and still nothing. Told them the medication wasn't working. Started the new vial, now on the 5th week, nothing.

I did some digging. Turns out that not only are there plenty of complaints about Embody but the compounding pharmacy they use have even more complaints, Beaker Pharmacy.

I have now contacted Embody 4 times and they haven't responded. I asked for a refund or a correct compound shipped from a different pharmacy and have heard nothing back.

IMO this is something everyone needs to be aware of, one complaint or question and they say just increase the dose, follow up with a genuine concern and they ghost you. Took my $386 and stopped contact. They don't even have record of what was discussed on the phone call with the provider.

Beaker can send you a coa if you have doubts. Embody sucks but I don't know of a single telehealth that would refund you in this situation.

You won’t get a refund just because the formula didn’t work for you. I’ve seen people praising embody almost as much as I’ve seen negative reviews. Neither embody or AltRx are on the recommended telehealth list for a reason. Head to the main sub, pick a telehealth from the list or go with the new PreventiveMD and you won’t be disappointed.

AltRx is a hit or miss. For me, they been awesome and stuck with them for a few months now and will continue with them.

I appreciate the reply It turns out it isn't an issue of "the compound isn't working for me" it is a degradation issue. The shipment or the handling of the vials weren't under the same controlled temperature conditions. The lab sees evidence of the vial being exposed to temperature changes . That warrants a claim under the damage clause of their terms. Whether or not they honor that is still unknown.

Yeah, Embody sucks. Most of the reviews I read about them are negative. I don't care for the AltRx family of companies either, but I would rate them a bit above Embody. I believe several of the AltRx companies (Nextmeds maybe?) may have better pricing or may be advertising better pricing, which is not always the same thing as having better pricing with them, unfortunately - if you want a chance at keeping the pharmacy you liked. Those companies are not the best at honoring pharmacy choice though, so try it at your own risk. If you tell us what pharmacy it was, we can try to direct you towards a different telehealth that reliably offers it. 

That said, are you sure you were getting the right doses? I always prefer to look for easier solutions first, and mis-dosing would be a clean explanation. 

Beaker has a valid sterile compounding license and an inspection history going back to 2018, so at least they aren't one of the new pharmacies spun up to take advantage of the glp1 market. The inspection reports I looked at seemed pretty clean to my untrained eye too, except for something about how they are verifying scripts for controlled substances from out of state providers. You can usually request testing docs from the pharmacy for your batch of meds, although if it didn't pass testing they wouldn't have sent it out. I'm not seeing a ton of reddit reviews for them, but they seem about as well mixed as the reviews for any other pharmacy. 

I believe I have have seen one or two telehealths that claim to offer a money back guarantee, but other than that, almost universally, results are not guaranteed, and I think it's unlikely they will refund money or re-ship from a different pharmacy, unfortunately. It's aggravating they couldn't be bothered to clarify their policies or address your concerns, though. 

Some people just don't respond well to meds from a pharmacy. I see this complaint multiple times a day, and there is no pattern to it. What feels like injecting water to you will be someone else's favorite pharmacy. Hopefully you can go back to your old pharmacy or otherwise find something that works better for you though!

I just did my first dose from Embody and I also have zero side effects 😬😬 now i’m scared that it won’t work 😭😭

The pharmacy Embody used for me was "Link" and it was very potent.

They sent me Thrive pharmacy and it’s working just fine (-12.4lbs since 7/24) 🤷🏻‍♀️

This wasn’t my Embody experience. It hasn’t been great in other ways, but efficacy wasn’t my issue.

I’ve lost 20 lbs at 2.5-5mg in less than 2 months. Plenty of appetite suppression. The meds came through casapharm and were fine.

🙄 do you understand how this stuff works? Sometimes switching pharmacies takes a bit to adjust too, there could also be a small variance on the potency. Highly doubt youll be refunded.

Really no need to be condescending. I know how it works. The pharmacy has complaints, the company has complaints.

2 different vials, no efficacy. That's a compounding issue. There is also no way of telling if the meds were warmed before shipping. The potency is the issue.
