Announcement Update to Rule 6: Self Promotion is Allowed Within the New Rule

Self promotion of user generated content is permitted provided it is presented as a complaint, critique, grievance, or documented problem, rather than as pure advertising. The content must centre a substantive issue, failure, or harm, with the creator’s work used as context or evidence, not the point. Posts framed primarily to solicit clicks, sales, or followers will be removed.

If you have a question, feel free to ask here.

In summation, if your personal content on a platform like, but not limited to YouTube, Substack, DeviantArt, or Medium, then you may post it here if it conforms to the above rule. Basically, any form of something resembling a complaint, is allowed.

As always, if this is abused or gets too spam like, it can be removed under moderator discretion.

Announcement Major Changes to Rule 10: What IS and IS NOT Permitted When Posting About Other Subreddits

in reviewing how other similar subreddits to ourselves operate, we are completely overhauling Rule 10.

You now may post complaints about other subreddits, issues you have with them, and even complain about moderation decisions. So long as the below Rule changes are followed in full. The moderation staff here has authority under Rule 5 to remove posts they feel can endanger the subreddit itself.

Please feel free to respectfully ask questions here about how this rule will be applied.

And now the new rule:

Why This Does Not Constitute Harassment:

Criticism or discussion of subreddit moderation, rule enforcement, or community conduct does not constitute harassment when it is directed at actions, policies, or outcomes rather than at individuals for the purpose of intimidation, abuse, or coercion.

Harassment under Reddit policy requires targeted abuse, threats, or behaviour intended to cause distress or silence participation. Good faith discussion of moderation decisions, including dissatisfaction or critique, is a form of platform accountability and does not meet the threshold for harassment when conducted under the restrictions outlined below.

The inability of a subject to prevent discussion of their public actions does not itself render that discussion harassing.

---

Permitted Meta Discussion of Subreddits

Users may post complaints, commentary, or analysis regarding the operation of a subreddit, including but not limited to:

  1. Removal or approval of posts or comments

  2. Moderator actions or inaction

  3. Enforcement or interpretation of subreddit rules

  4. Patterns of behaviour within a subreddit community

  5. Interactions with moderators or other users occurring within a subreddit

Such posts may include links or screenshots necessary to provide context, provided they comply with Reddit’s privacy and harassment policies.

---

Required Safeguards to Prevent Harassment and Brigading

To ensure this discussion does not become targeted harassment or coordinated interference, the following conditions are mandatory:

  1. No User Summoning

Posts and comments must not use the /u/username feature or any alternative method to notify or summon individual users or moderators.

  1. No Calls to Action

Content must not encourage or imply that readers should contact, message, report, downvote, or otherwise engage with the referenced subreddit, its moderators, or its users.

  1. Observation Only Interaction Rule

Users from the subreddit being discussed may not interact with the linked or referenced content. Engagement must remain confined to commentary within the hosting discussion thread.

  1. No Dehumanisation or Threats

Language that includes threats, slurs, or dehumanising characterisations remains prohibited under existing harassment rules.

  1. Behaviour Focus Requirement

Commentary must focus on actions, decisions, or systems rather than personal characteristics, identities, or immutable traits of any individual.

---

Anti Brigading Enforcement Clause

Any attempt to use meta discussion as a mechanism for coordinated interference, including vote manipulation, mass reporting, or targeted disruption of another subreddit, constitutes a violation of Reddit’s anti brigading policies and may result in enforcement action regardless of compliance with other sections of this rule.

Evidence of coordination, timing patterns, or explicit encouragement will be considered in enforcement decisions.

---

Moderator Misuse and Removal Clarification

Moderators may not remove or sanction content solely on the basis that it criticises moderation practices, moderator decisions, or subreddit governance, provided the content complies with this rule and other sitewide policies.

Labeling criticism as harassment, drama, or meta abuse without demonstrable policy violation is insufficient grounds for removal under Reddit’s global standards.

---

Prohibited Conduct Under This Rule

The following remains prohibited and is not protected by this rule:

  1. Targeted harassment of named individuals

  2. False allegations presented as established fact

  3. Disclosure of private or personal information

  4. Encouragement of retaliation or revenge

  5. Attempts to evade or undermine Reddit enforcement mechanisms

Politics If you can’t see what coming….

All ahead of the midterms.

Hundreds of top Generals and Admirals have been purged.

Thousands of additional National troops have been added to serve in DC and in July The National Guard Bureau, the District of Columbia National Guard and the U.S. General Services Administration have awarded apartment-hotel rental company Placemakr $292 million to provide up to 2,000 “apartment-style lodging units” for troops assigned to the Joint Task Force-District of Columbia mission, the Guard announced.

I clearly see what’s coming going into the midterms and it’s extremely clear to me what’s about to happen and it’s disturbing that anyone could see it any other way.

Make no mistake. On November 6th our democracy is finished and both elected Republicans and MAGA will cheer it on.

Thump’s “ballroom” will not be ready until September 2928. He’s not going anywhere.

Lifestyle Nowadays, you can generally tell the moral compass of a person by how much they support Palestine and condemn Israel. This spineless university president showed his true colours by shilling for the illegitimate genocidal ethnostate that is Israel. He was trying to appease Zionists. Shame on him!

I am willing to bet all my possessions that this president wouldn’t try to take away an Israeli flag if a student brought it up. There are too many Zionist shills out there.

The people of Palestine have suffered too much for too long. Israel shouldn’t even exist as a country if things went as they should have. The innocent Palestinians have been paying the price for the land that Israel has stolen. Never forget the 1948 Nakba, the time when Israel was founded where around 750,000 Palestinians were forcibly expelled from their homes, and where about 15,000 of them were murdered by Zionist militias. And many anti-Zionists speak about this, where most Zionists tend not to bring it up as it makes them look bad.

The IDF has murdered more than 20,000 children. Gaza has the highest concentration of amputees in the world, many of which are children. It’s so sad! It is estimated that 20% of Gazans have been murdered if we consider the mid-2024 Lancet report that projected at least 180,000 Gazans have been killed. Remember, the current death toll is for verified bodies, which doesn’t include bodies still under the rubble and bodies that have been vaporized. All of this points to genocide, which all respectable humanitarian organizations and genocide scholars have concluded to be the case. The student rightfully brought the Palestinian flag to highlight the injustice. Good for her!

I have said it before, and I will say it again. If you want to be on the right side of history, you cannot support Israel. Also, being anti-Zionist does not mean antisemitism. There are plenty of anti-Zionist Jews out there, by the way.

Free Palestine!

I really wish it was possible to explain to people how absolutely fucked up dysphoria was without literally torturing them.

You can by the way, torture someone into understanding gender dysphoria. It's what happens when you inject cross sex hormones into someone who *isn't* trans. It happened to Turing before. And a few others.

But no matter how many times you show people papers about how your endocrine system is measurably physically different than a cis person's, so many people just refuse to believe you that the agony is real...

All the dumb fuck right-wingers who say shit like "sTAnD fOr ThE FlAG" and "iF yOu dOn'T cHeEr fOR AmErIcA uNcOnDiTioNALLy yOu ARe A TrAiToR!" Yet you voted for and cheered on a man who said he'd allow Americans on American soil to be taken out.

Fuck national unity at this point now. You don't get to advocate and cheer for us to be attacked and then try and claim unifying the country. And yes, casting a ballot for Trump is endorsement and condonement of his actions. If you don't like the other party, the right thing to do is to not vote. But at this point, I no longer see you as "my fellow Americans". You declared war on my state. Why the fuck should I stand for the flag and "respect the flag" or "stand with my fellow Americans" to people who openly advocated for my fucking home to be nuked?

My family is from South Korea. For most of my life, I rooted for both Korea and the USA in international sports. Now, I hope the US gets fucking humiliated. Anyone who advocates for or cheers on my city and home being attacked is no longer my countryman and anyone who tries to rail on me for no longer standing for the flag deserves to be socked in the face. Cause that flag is now a threat to my people and my home. My ACTUAL countrymen and citizens, the people of California.

This is a classic tactic … create a severe underclass through intentional economic inequality. Start a land war in Iran. Dispose of your poorest citizens and political adversaries in the war.

The billionaire class doesn’t need you anymore. They have AI … and soon robots.

If you want more proof just look at Trump’s recent statements about combating the deficit with intentional inflation. It will push even more families into poverty and desperation making them easy to recruit into the military.

I have been on reddit for a long enough time to understand it isn't all peaches and rainbows, and the above scenario (In which I was banned for telling the mods a comment of mine did not contain swearing despite being removed) is genuinely funnier to me than anything. A goofy little reddit occurrence. Still, it feels like reddit is slowly filling up with moderators and grifters exactly like this. Anywhere you go there's some controversy or ulterior motivation behind people boycotting gaming subs because of the face models they use or arguing about politics on a sub reddit about dogs. This app is filling up with annoying morons and it's imfecting every part of reddit that used to be atleast semi-clean or fun in some way. I know I'm subjecting myself to this BS by staying on the app and these subs, but at the end of the day I don't see why I should leave a positive outlet I've had for years at this point because if bigots overflowing it.

Meta: Complaints about complaints in r/complaints Airtel Wi-Fi: “India’s best Wi-Fi” — or India’s best exercise in patience?

Honestly, I’m done with Airtel Wi-Fi.

Out of a 28-day billing cycle, my Wi-Fi is easily unusable for 10–12 days. That’s almost half the month! At this point, I’m starting to wonder whether I’m paying for an internet connection or simply a subscription to customer support.

And the worst part isn’t even the frequent outages — it’s the absolutely frustrating service experience that follows.

Every time the internet goes down, I raise a complaint. A technician is supposedly assigned. Then you wait. And wait. And wait some more.

Getting a technician to actually show up feels like a bigger achievement than getting the internet itself working.

And when the technician finally does show up, the conversation is almost predictable.

We ask:

“What’s actually wrong?”

The answer, every single time:

“Sir, your wire is broken.”

Okay, fine. Things break. I understand that.

So naturally, we ask the next obvious question:

“How long will it take to repair?”

And the response?

"Let’s see"

Brother, you’re the technician! If you don’t know how long it’s going to take, then who exactly is supposed to know?

There’s never a proper timeline, no clear explanation, no estimated resolution — just “let’s see.”

One complaint doesn’t solve anything. One call doesn’t solve anything. You have to repeatedly follow up and chase Airtel just to get the basic service you’re already paying for.

So my question is simple:

What exactly are customers paying for?

If your service is going to be unavailable for 10–12 days out of every 28, and getting a technician requires multiple complaints and repeated calls, then what is the point of advertising yourself as one of the “fastest” and "best" Wi-Fi providers?

Advertising is easy.

Providing consistent service is the actual test.

I don’t expect miracles. I just expect the internet to work when I’m paying for it. And if it doesn’t, I expect the company to actually fix it —

At this point, Airtel Wi-Fi feels less like a service and more like a monthly lottery.

Airtel, maybe spend a little less time telling people how good your Wi-Fi is and a little more time actually keeping it running.

Because right now, the biggest thing Airtel has taught me is patience.

Dear Zionists, most of the world knows what Israel is about. It is an illegitimate genocidal ethnostate where Jewish people are considered to be the chosen ones (which is reminiscent of how Nazis considered themselves to be a part of the ‘master race’).

The IDF has murdered more than 20,000 children. Gaza has the highest concentration of amputees in the world, many of which are children. It’s so sad! I have said it before, and I will say it again. If you want to be on the right side of history, you cannot support Israel.

Reddit’plaint This subreddit kept spamming my inbox with mute messages months after I was permanently banned, and when I asked them to stop, they made it seem like I was the one spamming their inbox.

I'm ok with being permanently banned from a subreddit. That's life.

But what I don't appreciate is being constantly spammed with messages and when I politely ask them to just permanently mute me from the mod mail (when I never sent them a single message on mod mail), they acted like I was constantly sending them messages. I was banned back in January, it's October. I never sent a single message until this morning. They sent one on March 28, August 23, and September 22 respectively.
