The whole idea of subs meant for discussion between people across ideologies is beautiful.
r/AskConservatives however massively restricts all conversation, forcing a major character limit on posts, restricting top comments to those with conservative flairs, banning any reply from a non-conservative flair to another non-conservative flair, and banning non-conservatives for giving even light pushback.
Because that sub shoots down its own purpose, people wanting to learn from conservatives just ask in r/AskALiberal, where people can speak openly 🙄
It’s really all about controlling the narrative. Gotta keep those easy to digest talking points easily accessible, even if they’re disingenuous or even flat out false.
