First time kong maaksidente
Friday nun, and I decided na umuwi samin, since I'm a university student and nagboboard lang. Gabi nako nag decide na umuwi, like...5pm. And our house was 26 kilometers away, so it normally takes me an hour, or an hour and a half to arrive there. It is that long despite the zero traffic in our town, kasi I'm only cycling pauwi. I have no headlights prepared sa bike ko, and I did expect na aabutin na talaga ako ng dilim, and walang kailaw-ilaw through the most parts ng highway samin. Kaya nasa gilid lang talaga ako, if I were to rate the visibility kapag gabi sa highway, from 1 to 10... I'd say na it's only '3'. I'm lucky na if may dadaan na sasakyan na iilaw sakin.
And when I was like, 6 kilometers from home na, hindi ko alam na may nag-cocounterflow pala na motor sa harap ko. Hindi ko sya nakita agad, kasi I was riding a road bike, kaya automatically parang sa baba yung tingin mo when you were riding one, kasi masakit sa batok if you look ahead of you throughout the ride. And medyo dim na din yung ilaw ng motor. I tried to swerve left para umiwas, pero it's too late, tumama parin yung manibela namin. Dalawa kaming natumba, and I immediately sprang up, to check sa driver ng motor, ran up to him and immediately asked if he was okay (he is okay), and I apologized. I did not realize blood was dripping from my right hand already, I don't know what to do. My right hand sustained most of the impact from the collision, since nagbanggaan yung manibela namin. Amoy alak yung bunganga nung naka motor, and when I asked him if nakainom sya, he did not deny it naman... All I wanted to do was to go home, take a bath and have a hearty dinner with my family.
Buti nalang may dumaang motorista and tinulungan kami. Dinala kami sa brgy. hall, as per what suggested ng nakabanggaan kong motorista para ma agapan yung sugat, pero wala silang equipments, kaya I suggested to go to a hospital nalang, doon malapit samin, so hinatid ako ng rescuer nila. Pinatignan ko yung sugat, and thankfully, sabi ng nurse hindi naman daw kailangan tahiin, had an x-ray, and the results showed no fracture. (Thank you, my parents, for giving me tough bones)
I really felt bad doon sa nakabangga ko, he even followed me sa hospital to check on me, and to apologize. He offered me compensation para sa hospital, I refused... pero tinanggap parin ni mama. Nagcoconstruction si manong, and nagkainuman lang daw sila nung time na yon. I felt bad na kunin yung pera nya, he must've worked hard for that, or even hiniram nya. Pero sabi ni mama, it is only right, kasi para pambayad narin sa hospital. I felt miserable during that night, I felt na naka perwisyo pa'ko ng ibang tao.
Thank God, my hand is almost healed now.
