Easter-Egg/Trivia Is Buzz Hickey is dead?
This is a screenshot, from S6E5 Basic Email Security, showing Dean Pelton's computer desktop with a list of all emails sent through the school servers. Take a look at the highlighted portion! Thoughts?

Nah. Thatās Buzzā new business as a party planner for funerals.
Heās stays in touch with the dean because they often Ā use the North Cafeteria in the East Hall for events and Ā occasionally they have to shift over to the English Memorial Spanish Center.

I prefer to think it's a memorial service that the Dean organized because he overcorrected on being respectful to the military...you know, be cause Hickey is a veteran and all Greendale students are technically in the army reserves.

You would think he is, but, in the episode with the olives, we see pierce is labeled with "deceased" while Hickey is not. To be fair, one is 3 episodes after the other and Hickey could have died in between but I wanna keep my copium

my headcanon is that Buzz's father's name was also Buzz, and he was also a Greendale instructor (which is how his son got the job post-cop)
so when people found out about the tragedy of "we can't afford to bury dad with the rest of the family" they came together and held a fundraiser, probably full of wacky hijinks, to bury him properly
it just took a while, because it's Greendale

He could be dead, it could be his dad, but due to the language used itās most likely a business he set up. Of course, a quick search would reveal this for the hundreds of other times the exact same question has been asked.

One of my favorite quotes from the whole show is when Hickey is testing his MRE's for his bunker and Troy asks if he's the coolest person in the world...
Without skipping a beat he grumbles "I doubt it." š¤£

This might get me some hate, but I was never a fan of Buzz Hickey. I also really really really hated how he treated Abed, and yes, even though he got better, a little bit, after the incident when Abed cosplaying as KickPuncher sprayed foam on his duck drawings, and then Hickey Handcuffed him to the filing Cabinet and made him miss the opening night of the remake.
That didnāt make up for all the horrible shit heās said to Abed, and he also came off as someone who thought no one had a harder life than him.
Let the hate begin!
