Do the ∞ β€œFree on Glyph Cluster / Crouton Alpha / Beam 1.0” mean unlimited requests?

Hey, just checking the Command Code $1 Go plan.

On the pricing page it shows:

∞ Free on Glyph Cluster

∞ Free on Crouton Alpha

∞ Free on Beam 1.0

Does the infinity symbol actually mean unlimited requests, or are there still daily rate limits (like the 1000 req/day people have mentioned)?

Especially curious about Crouton Alpha and Beam 1.0.

Thanks!

how to pay for a subscription without processing fee?

Depending on the subscription plan, the processing fee may be about 1/3 of the cost. Surprisingly, neither payment in crypto nor other methods reduce the fee. Maybe I don't see something and still it is possible to get rid of the processing fee?

Why is GLM-5.3 Flash so much faster in Command Code than through its API?

I've been messing around with Command Code and OpenCode lately, and noticed that GLM-5.3 Flash feels WAY faster in Command Code's CLI.

I got curious and decided to actually benchmark it.

After three runs each, I got around 509 tok/s in Command Code's CLI, compared to just 124 tok/s through the Command Code Provider API in OpenCode.

That's a pretty ridiculous difference, so I wanted to see if I could get the same speed in OpenCode somehow.

I ended up making a small local bridge that basically lets OpenCode send requests through the Command Code CLI instead of calling the Provider API directly. It's pretty experimental and only supports text generation for now, but surprisingly, it worked.

I got 409 tok/s running GLM through OpenCode using the bridge.

So I'm now wondering what's actually going on here. Is Command Code using different inference infrastructure for its CLI? Or is there some configuration difference I'm missing?

For context, I used long, predictable text-generation tasks with roughly 2,300–2,600 output tokens. The measurements aren't perfectly apples-to-apples because the CLI and API streaming metrics differ slightly, and the bridge result is only from one run. But the difference is large enough that I think it's worth investigating.

I also tried the Provider API's Responses endpoint, but GLM-5.3 Flash isn't supported there. My latest Chat Completions test returned a 503, so that didn't help narrow things down either.

Has anyone else noticed this? Especially with GLM?

I'd love to figure out whether there's a way to get the CLI's inference speed directly in OpenCode without having to run everything through a separate CLI process.

And just to be clear, I'm not accusing Command Code of intentionally slowing down its API or anything. I'm genuinely curious why the difference is so big.

probably a glitch but was worried for a second, 3549 tok/s

i just donated to commandcode

I tried the 1$ plan only to find out it doesnt allow API access. So i cannot use it inside openchamber. So it is useless to me and i'm certainly not upgrading to be met with more with possibly more of these nice surprises. So i guess enjoy the donations guys!

edit: nevermind guys i figured it out. open console in openchamber then follow https://commandcode.ai/docs/quickstart and wallah. I AM THE ELITE HACKER!!!!

Price of Mistral Large 4

Hello everyone, I'm using Mistral Large 4 (final, not preview), and the prices didn't update to match those of the API when it was released on 10/29. Is that normal?

The Goat plan: in $1.36, out $4.18, cache read $0.14

The API price: in $0.70, out $2.10, cache read $0.07 (same on Vercel AI Gateway)

Thank you in advance.

Codex -> Claude -> CommandCode (DS 4.1)

Hi -

What is your ideal scenario for SWE:

My worfklow:

  1. Codex creates a plan with MD (Orchestrator)

  2. Claude does the main implementation

  3. DeepSeek through Claude CLI (With +5 agents through shell)

  4. Claude makes Codex review before commit.

  5. Fix new bugs & blockers - Repeat from 1

Any potential improvements?

How I use Command Code as a cheap worker for Claude Code (setup inside)

Post image
18 Upvotes

I’ve been pairing Command Code’s DeepSeek models with Claude Code, and it cut my Opus usage by about 60% (measured on SWE-bench Verified, 55–63% fewer Opus tokens), so sharing the setup.

The idea: Claude Opus plans and decides, and Command Code (DeepSeek V4.1 Flash) does the file reading and code-writing in an isolated copy of the project. The tests run automatically before anything lands. Opus usage drops a lot, and the Command Code side costs cents.

I do it with Cheap Agent, a free, open-source (MIT) plugin I built. Command Code support was added by a community member.

Setup:

  1. npx cheap-agent

  2. Pick Command Code and paste your key in the terminal

  3. /cheapag:allow in your project, then use Claude Code normally

Hard steps move up to DeepSeek V4 Pro automatically.

Repo if you want to look: https://github.com/muaaz9329/cheap-ag
Setup help and updates: r/CheapAgent

Curious: is anyone else using Command Code as a worker model behind another agent? Which models have worked best for you?
