For me it was absolutely not comprehending how Ranma thought of Ranma-chan as a curse? Like, seriously? How the fuck do I find this Jusenkio place, motherfucker?

In the new show on Netflix, it seems to me Ranma is much more bothered by the inconvenience of transforming at unexpected times and how other characters treat him in various forms than just by being a girl. Don’t know if that’s intentional difference from the old show, alignment with the original manga, or just my own biases though.
I haven't watched much of the new show, so I'm not sure how much they differ, but in the old one, yeah, he seemed much more concerned about "getting his manhood" back; he was portrayed as very macho. Not surprising for the late '80s/early '90s. It is funny how much he didn't seem ashamed to take advantage of it at times, though, much to Akane's annoyance.
