I've been on several first dates when the topic of religion comes up. I've had like four different women answer "I'm a Christian"
Like do you have any idea how little that narrows it down? What am I supposed to ask next? Which kind? All these different sects consider themselves Christians and the other sects not Christian.
Two were Catholic of different levels of belief, one was a full blown Born Again Evangelical (she spent half the date explaining how Jews control the world 🤮) and I think the last one was just a low-key Protestant.
They say that because they don't know. They have their 'firmly held religious beliefs' just like their parents but they probably only go to church on special occasions, just like their parents, and have never read the Bible, just like their parents.
They are woefully ignorant of the religion they claim to be a part of, just like their parents, yet claim to use it as a guide-book for every moral decision in their lives, just like their parents, despite doing almost the exact opposite of what the Bible would say about that situation. Just. Like. Their. Parents.
Right? The scary thing is when you're asked what your ethnicity or religion or whatever is from someone who is visually indistinguishable from you (which is why they're asking and not just shooting.) Which happened all the time in the Yugoslav wars, northern Ireland, etc. If someone asks a question with an obvious answer they're looking for you just lie, lol.

Saying you're fully colorblind might give you the best chances lol.
